This device consists of a solid cylindrical bolt (plug) fitted with a piercing needle, which encircles the center of three hollow cylinders housed within its interior. The foremost end of the barrel chamber is firmly screwed into place at the upper portion of the breech fixed to the gunstock, while the rear end is left completely open. The upper front half of the cylinder is cut open at its forward end — this is to prevent any obstruction when inserting the cartridge, and also because the cylinder is longer than the cartridge itself. From this cut opening, a single wide groove runs all the way to the rear of the breech chamber. This groove serves as a channel through which the square-sectioned handle of the loading mechanism travels back and forth. At the center of this groove, an angular spring projection stands upright——
