(Continuing from previous page) — as [the trigger] releases [the upper corner of the bolt], the spring exerts its inherent force, driving the bolt forward into the chamber so as to propel the firing needle toward the center of the cartridge and cause it to pierce forcefully through to the primer powder. ○ There is therefore no cause for malfunction. This is because the cartridge itself cleans the interior of the bore, and the tightly fitted breech-knob (knee-joint seal) prevents the escape of gas. ○ The construction of this gun is of such a simple and straightforward design that it is extremely easy to fully disassemble the gun piece by piece, wipe it clean, or carry out repairs, without the use of a screwdriver (転螺挺) or any other tools. ○ Although this gun leaves nothing to be desired in terms of excellence, its only fault worth mentioning is that its weight amounts to merely eleven or twelve kin [catties].
