現代語訳
つるたけ
産物写生に載る図。菌史に、初めて生える時、地を出て鶏の卵の形のようで、やがて茎が長くなり、護膜が裂けて傘が張り、大きさは盆や鉢のようになる。質は痩せて脚が高く、その色は純白で、わずかに紅色を帯びる。その名前は、おそらく形を表したものである。
甘くなめらかで美味である。山中の人が採取して上等な珍味とする。また乾燥させて保存し、腹瀉（下痢）を治すのに用いる。常陸国の諸山の樹木の多い場所にこれがあるという。
つるたけ
庶物写生に載る図。菌史に、傘と茎がすべて淡い黒色で、鶬鶏の羽のようなものがある。茎は非常に太く、傘の形は覆盆のようである。名前は同じだが異なる種類のものだという。

Tsuru-take
Illustration recorded in Sanbutsu Shasei. In the Mushroom Records, when first growing, it emerges from the ground shaped like a chicken egg, gradually the stem lengthens, the protective membrane splits and the cap spreads, becoming as large as a basin or bowl. The texture is thin with tall stems, and the color is pure white with a slight reddish tinge. The name probably represents its form.
It is sweet, smooth, and delicious. Mountain people gather it as a superior delicacy. They also dry and preserve it to treat diarrhea. It is said to be found in tree-rich areas of various mountains in Hitachi Province.
Tsuru-take
Illustration recorded in Shomotsu Shasei. In the Mushroom Records, both cap and stem are pale black with features resembling the feathers of a blackbird. The stem is very thick and the cap shape is like an inverted bowl. It is said to be a different species with the same name.
