『菌史』によると、すなわち舵の上に生える菌である。その種類は一つではないという。田村氏は、長年朽ち果てかかっている船によく生えることがあるという。この品種はまだ実際に見たことがないので図は描かない。

Dasai (Ship rudder mushroom) - Kajitake
According to the "Kinshi" (Mushroom History), this is a fungus that grows on ship rudders. It is said that there is more than one variety. Mr. Tamura states that it often grows on ships that have been rotting for many years. Since this species has not yet been observed firsthand, no illustration is provided.
