一 同八年（未年〔1811年〕）五月、江戸表において剣術の締め方（指導・取りまとめ役）を仰せ付けられ、戌年（1814年）まで四年間勤めた。
一 同十一年（戌年〔1814年〕）三月、親（養父）の願いの通り、孫左衛門方へ婿養子となることを仰せ付けられた。
一 同十二年（亥年〔1815年〕）八月、亡父の御擬作のうち三石を減じられ、十五石三人扶持を下し置かれ、召し出されて外様組付を仰せ付けられ、高橋与五郎組にて御城御番を勤めた。
一 同十四年（丑年〔1817年〕）八月、追鳥狩の節に罷り出た。

ただし、この後二度罷り出た。
一 同年十月、当追鳥狩において、御場の転手（転換・展開）始めの義のところ、列伍の足並み等が格別によく揃い、隊々が連属して運用滞りなく行われたのは、かねてより合隊稽古に出精してきたためであると思し召された旨により、組一同が御称美を賜った。
ただし、この後毎度御称美を賜った。
一 同月、操練に出精し、よく勤めたことにより、新身の鑓一穂を下し置かれた。

Item: In the 5th month of Bunka 8 (Year of the Sheep [1811]), he was appointed as the supervisor/coordinator (*shimeri-kata*) of swordsmanship in Edo, a post he held for four years until the Year of the Dog (1814).
Item: In the 3rd month of Bunka 11 (Year of the Dog [1814]), in accordance with his adoptive father's wishes, he was ordered to become the son-in-law and adopted heir (*muko-yōshi*) of the Magozaemon household.
Item: In the 8th month of Bunka 12 (Year of the Boar [1815]), three *koku* were deducted from his late father's *gisaku* (provisional stipend allocation), and he was granted fifteen *koku* and provisions for three persons. He was summoned into service and assigned to the *tozama-gumi* (outer retainer group), serving castle guard duty in the Takahashi Yogorō unit.
Item: In the 8th month of Bunka 14 (Year of the Ox [1817]), he turned out for the *oidorikari* (bird-hunting military exercise).

Note: After this, he turned out two more times.
Item: In the 10th month of the same year, during the *oidorikari*, at the commencement of the field maneuver formations, the ranks and marching were in exceptionally fine order, the units connected and operated without any hindrance—this was deemed by the lord to be a result of their diligent training in combined-unit drills. Accordingly, the entire unit received the lord's commendation.
Note: After this, they received the lord's commendation on every occasion.
Item: In the same month, for having applied himself diligently to military drills and performing his duties well, he was granted one new-bladed spear (*atarashimi no yari*).
