現代語訳
一 寛政七年（1795年）六月、本人の願い出により初めての御目見えを仰せ付けられた。
一 同年七月、本人の願い出により御番代を仰せ付けられ、御家老付き一番組にて御城での御番を勤めた。
一 同年九月、追鳥狩の際に参加した。
ただし、この後二度参加した。
一 同年十一月、当追鳥狩の際、列伍の次第、足並み、進退等が特に揃っており、運用に滞りがなく、兼ねてから内稽古にも出精していることと思し召しの旨、組の一同が御称美を賜った。
ただし、この後毎度御称美を賜った。
一 同八年（1796年）八月、跡式として御知行四百石を相違なく下し置かれた。
一 同年午年（1798年）七月、去る卯年（1795年）から去年中まで槍術稽古を引き続き致し出精し、九分以上の業を致した段が奇特に思し召され、御褒美として綿一把を下し置かれた。
一 同十一年（1799年）十一月、孫右衛門と改名したい旨の願いが許された。
英語訳
- In the sixth month of Kansei 7 (1795), he was granted his first audience with the lord upon his own request.
- In the seventh month of the same year, he was appointed as a guard substitute upon his own request and performed guard duties at the castle in the first unit under the senior councilor.
- In the ninth month of the same year, he participated in the hunting expedition (tsuitori-gari).
Note: He participated two more times after this.
- In the eleventh month of the same year, during the hunting expedition, his formation order, marching pace, advances and retreats were particularly well-coordinated with no delays in execution, and it was deemed that he had been diligent in his private training. The entire unit received commendation.
Note: He received commendation on every occasion thereafter.
- In the eighth month of Kansei 8 (1796), he was granted a hereditary stipend of 400 koku without any reduction.
- In the seventh month of the Horse year (1798), for his continuous diligent practice of spear techniques from the Rabbit year (1795) through the previous year, achieving proficiency of nine-tenths or more, he was deemed remarkable and was rewarded with one bundle of cotton.
- In the eleventh month of Kansei 11 (1799), his request to change his name to Magoemon was granted.
