御直ニ御返答被 仰聞御料理被下
置退出仕候処旅宿迄御使者を以白銀
弐枚被下置候事
一 同年五月御帷子二被下置候事

ゟ以御奉書明四日御能拝見被
仰付候由被 仰遣右御奉書糊付ニ御
封ニ而被遣候所御請之御書大原六太夫
奉之為調不封上包迄ニ而遣之候其

至極被 思召候且又支配之儀正敷可仕之
由 御直ニも被 仰聞候所不相守之支
配之共返而頭を軽候様ニ被 聞召役儀

調法之儀も有之候間急度可被
仰付候へ共御用捨被成当役被 召放元

直接御返答を仰せ聞かされ、御料理を下し置かれ、退出仕ったところ、旅宿まで御使者を以って白銀二枚を下し置かれた。
一 同年五月、御帷子二枚を下し置かれた。
一 同年六月、当月三日に牧野備後守様より御奉書を以って、明日四日の御能拝見を仰せ付けられる旨を仰せ遣わされた。右の御奉書は糊付けに御封をして遣わされたところ、御請けの御書を大原六太夫が調えるにあたり、封をしないで上包みまでにして遣わした。その件が聞こし召されて、御請けの儀は

公儀へ参るので重要な儀であるところ、粗末な仕方で不敬至極であると思し召され、また支配の儀を正しく仕るべき旨を直接仰せ聞かされたところ、相守らずに支配の者共がかえって頭を軽んじるように聞こし召され、役儀に相応しくないと思し召された。これのみに限らず度々不調法の儀もあったので、急度仰せ付けるべきであるが、御用捨を成され、当役を召し放ち、元役に召し返される旨を仰せ出された。

pertains to official government business and is therefore of great importance, the sloppy handling was considered extremely disrespectful. Furthermore, although he had been directly instructed to properly carry out his supervisory duties, he failed to comply, and his subordinates were perceived as treating their superior lightly, which was deemed inappropriate for his position. Since there had been repeated instances of misconduct beyond this incident alone, strict punishment should have been imposed, but showing mercy, His Lordship relieved him of his current position and returned him to his former rank.
