滝右衛門殿佐野與八郎殿江判鑑之儀相達候処
瀧右衛門ゟ被申越候御老中御証文不差添候而ハ
請取申儀難成成旨ニ御座候前々右之通ニ候故御証
文申請候儀ハ曾而不存罷在候以前吉江ニ罷在候
時分家来高屋六郎左衛門と申者役儀申付候節判
鑑御老中ゟ御証文申請差添候由ニ而書付滝右衛門殿ゟ
被差越候如何可仕候哉此趣相模守殿江御内意御伺
可取下候以上
一 十月廿三日去十二日江戸大地震ニ付
公方様御機嫌為御伺江戸表江御使者被指出之右御使者今日
福井出立
但十一月四日御返書御渡有之
一 同月廿五日為御鷹狩吉江江 御出被成《割書：十一月朔日｜御帰殿》
一 同日切支丹類族御医師田代養山先達而病死之節切支丹奉行迄
御伺書被指出候処御指図相済候ニ付《割書：月日｜不詳》江戸表江左之通御届書

男父不転以前出生本人同前田代養山儀当丑十月

滝右衛門殿佐野与八郎殿へ判鑑の件を申し達したところ、
滝右衛門から申し越されたことには、老中の御証文を添えなくては
受け取ることは困難である旨でございます。前々からこの通りであったため、御証
文を申し請けることは全く存じ上げませんでした。以前吉江に在った
時分、家来の高屋六郎左衛門と申す者に役儀を申し付けた節、判
鑑を老中から御証文を申し請けて添えたということで、書付が滝右衛門殿から
差し越されました。いかが致すべきでしょうか。この趣を相模守殿へ御内意を伺い
取り下げるべきでしょうか。以上
一 十月二十三日 去る十二日江戸大地震のため
公方様の御機嫌伺いとして江戸表へ御使者を差し出された。その御使者は今日
福井を出立した
ただし十一月四日御返書の御渡しがあった
一 同月二十五日 御鷹狩りのため吉江へ御出でになった《十一月朔日御帰殿》
一 同日 切支丹類族の御医師田代養山がこの程病死した節、切支丹奉行まで
御伺い書を差し出したところ御指図が済んだため、《月日不詳》江戸表へ左の通り御届書を

We reported the matter of seals to Takiremon and Sano Yohachirō, whereupon
Takiremon replied that without adding a certificate from the rōjū,
it would be difficult to accept them. Since this has been the precedent, we were
completely unaware that we needed to request certificates. Previously when we were stationed at Yoshie,
when we appointed a retainer named Takaya Rokurōzaemon to an official position,
a document was sent from Takiremon stating that a certificate from the rōjū was requested and added to the seal.
What should we do about this? Should we consult privately with Sagami-no-kami about this matter and
withdraw it? The above.
1. October 23rd: Due to the great earthquake in Edo on the 12th,
an envoy was dispatched to Edo to inquire after the Shogun's well-being. This envoy
departed Fukui today.
However, a reply was delivered on November 4th.
1. The 25th of the same month: [The lord] went out to Yoshie for falconry {returned to the castle on November 1st}
1. The same day: Regarding the Christian-related physician Tashiro Yōzan who died of illness recently,
an inquiry document was submitted to the Christian magistrate, and after receiving instructions, {date unknown} the following notification document was
submitted to Edo:
"Eldest son of the converted Christian Tashiro Yōsen of Fukui castle town, Asuwa District, Echizen Province,
born before his father's conversion, Tashiro Yōzan of the same status, in the 10th month of this year of the Ox"
