指出候節御老中証文不被指添候而ハ難更取旨被申聞候ニ付
再罷出先例之趣申達候得共承引無是ニ付御老中出屋

一通向井将籃《割書：正｜盛》殿江松平庄兵衛 持参指出之

遠州今切御関所江家来判鑑差遣候儀ニ付
古越前守時分其以後我等江家督被 仰付候
節同姓越前代ニも終ニ御老中江御断申達候儀
尤御証文 申請候儀無御座候事
一 我等新規ニ被 仰出候砌家来今切判鑑之儀松平
主馬助殿ゟ先規之通ニ可仕之旨御老中江
仰渡候間家来共判鑑遣候様ニと被申判鑑相改
差越申候其以後松平半右衛門殿江仰付候砌成瀬
滝右衛門殿佐野與八郎殿江被仰付候砌も判鑑之儀
申達候処家共替り不申候ハヽ最前之判鑑用
申旨被申越候只今迄右之通ニ御座候
一 今度家来酒井典膳と申者役儀申付候故鳴瀬

差し出した際、老中の証文を添えられなくては取り替えは困難である旨を申し聞かされたため、
再び罷り出て先例の趣を申し達したけれども承諾されず、そのため老中出羽
相模守《政直》殿へ御内意を伺いたいとのことで御国表から差し出された
御書付
一通を向井将監《正盛》殿へ松平庄兵衛が持参し差し出した
覚
遠州今切御関所へ家来の判鑑を差し遣わす件について
古（先代）越前守時分その以後我等へ家督を仰せ付けられた
節、同姓越前代にも終に老中へ御断り申し達した儀は
もっとも御証文を申し請けた儀はございません
一 我等新規に仰せ出された砌、家来今切判鑑の儀は松平
主馬助殿から先規の通りに致すべき旨を老中へ
仰せ渡されたので家来共の判鑑を遣わすようにと申され、判鑑を改めて
差し越し申した。その以後松平半右衛門殿へ仰せ付けられた砌、成瀬
滝右衛門殿、佐野与八郎殿へ仰せ付けられた砌も判鑑の儀を
申し達したところ、家が替わらなければ最前の判鑑を用いる
旨を申し越された。只今までその通りでございます
一 今度家来の酒井典膳と申す者に役儀を申し付けたため成瀬

When submitting the documents, they were told that without a certificate from the rōjū (senior councilors), it would be difficult to make the exchange.
They went again and explained the precedents, but this was not accepted. Therefore, wishing to consult privately with Rōjū Dewa
Sagami-no-kami (Masanao), they submitted a written document
from the home domain,
one copy of which was brought and submitted to Mukai Shōgen (Masamori) by Matsudaira Shōbei
Memorandum
Regarding sending retainer seals to the Tōtōmi Imagiri checkpoint:
During the time of the former Echizen-no-kami and thereafter when we were appointed
to inherit the family headship,
even in the case of the previous Echizen of the same family name, we ultimately never
requested a certificate when reporting to the rōjū
1. When we were newly appointed, regarding the matter of retainer seals for Imagiri, Matsudaira
Shume-no-suke ordered that it should be done according to previous precedent, and the rōjū
commanded that retainer seals should be sent, so we revised the seals and
sent them over. Thereafter, when Matsudaira Hanemon was appointed, and when Narase
Takiremon and Sano Yohachirō were appointed, we also
reported regarding the seals, but were told that if the families had not changed, the previous seals should be used.
This has been the practice until now.
