御座候処寛文四年古越前守頂戴仕候
御判物八郡ニ候故其以後相改十四年以前差上候
絵図も八郡ニ相調候今度相借仕候絵図ハ古越前守
差上候十二郡之絵図ニ而御座候此度之絵図十二郡ニ

相極候而ハ同国領地之衆中江も難相達候故井上
大和守殿江相窺可申与存候間先此段得御内意候以上

ございましたが、寛文四年に先の越前守が頂戴いたしました御判物では八郡でございますので、その後改めて十四年以前に差し上げました絵図も八郡に調製いたしました。今度お借りいたしました絵図は先の越前守が差し上げました十二郡の絵図でございます。この度の絵図は十二郡に調製申し上げるべきでしょうか、または八郡に調製申し上げるべきでしょうか。右の趣旨が決まりませんでは、同国領地の衆中へも伝達し難いので、井上大和守殿へお伺い申し上げようと存じますので、まずこの段についてご内意を得たく存じます。以上
ただし右について御用掛井上大和守殿まで御留守居加賀藤左衛門がお口上書をもってお伺いしたところ、郡数の件は追って決定申し上げることになりますので、御同国の衆中へは先にお達しがあるようにとのご指図がありました。
一、四月二日 今度お借りになったお国絵図の写しが出来次第、大宮彦右衛門茂冨が持参して江戸表へ出向くようお命じになった。
一、同月九日 板橋駅でのご休憩から直ちに参府のご案内として、御大老井伊掃部頭直該殿、御老中、御側、後用人へご挨拶回りをなさり、それから霊巌島のお屋敷へお着きになった。
一、同月十日 右同様につき、御用番小笠原佐渡守長重殿へご挨拶。
一、同日 右同様につき、上使として御老中阿部豊後守正武殿がお越しになった。

However, in the official document received by the former Echizen-no-kami in Kanbun 4 (1664), there were eight districts, so the maps submitted fourteen years ago after that revision were also prepared with eight districts. The maps we have now borrowed are the twelve-district maps submitted by the former Echizen-no-kami. Should this current map be prepared with twelve districts, or should it be prepared with eight districts? Without determining this matter, it would be difficult to communicate with the various lords of territories within the province, so we intend to inquire with Inoue Yamato-no-kami. However, regarding the above, when caretaker Kaga Tōzaemon inquired with a written statement to the official in charge, Inoue Yamato-no-kami, instructions were given that the matter of the number of districts would be determined later, so notification should first be sent to the lords of the province.
