一 九月二十一日 備前守目富様の両御屋敷が類焼したことについて、越後守光長様がご苦労をおかけしたとの思し召しにより、金一万両を拝領されたため、越後守様の御礼勤めの御名代として昌明様が大老・老中・御側御用人・若年寄中へご挨拶回りをされた。
ただし、この御名代の件については、昌明様と上野介様の御両人のうちどちらかが勤められるよう、老中土屋相模守殿からご指図があった。
一 同日 御側御用人柳沢出羽守保明殿のもとへ出向かれ、購読拝聴の御願いを申し入れられた。
一 同月二十二日 老中戸田山城守忠昌殿からお呼び出しがあり、御留守居が出向いたところ、火事の際には上野山中で前々からの通り火防を申すべきこと、御宮・御仏殿については今度別に火消を仰せ付けられているが、なお一層申し合わせて防火に努めるべき旨の御書付をお渡しされた。
一 同月二十九日 御国絵図のご用のため、大宮彦右衛門茂富を江戸表へ派遣することとし、今日福井を出立した。
一 十月九日 老中阿部豊後守正武殿からお呼び出しがあり、御留守居村上三太夫昌峰が出向いたところ、浅草にある本多孫太郎長員の屋敷を御用のため召し上げることとし、替地の件については御普請奉行から追って連絡する旨を申し渡された。

September 21st: Regarding the fire damage to both residences of Bizen-no-kami Metomi, His Lordship bestowed 10,000 ryō in gold upon Echigo-no-kami Mitsunaga in consideration of his troubles. As proxy for Echigo-no-kami's formal thanks, Masaaki paid courtesy visits to the Great Elder, Senior Councilors, Chamberlain Attendants, and Junior Councilors.
Note: Regarding this proxy matter, Senior Councilor Tsuchiya Sagami-no-kami gave instructions that either Masaaki or Kōzuke-no-suke should perform this duty.
Same day: [He] visited Chamberlain Attendant Yanagisawa Dewa-no-kami Yasuaki and made a request for reading and listening privileges.
September 22nd: Upon being summoned by Senior Councilor Toda Yamashiro-no-kami Tadamasa, the deputy went and received written instructions stating that during fires, fire prevention should be carried out in the Ueno hills as before, and although fire brigades have been specially assigned to the shrine and Buddhist temple this time, even greater coordination should be maintained for fire prevention.
September 29th: For the purpose of provincial maps, Ōmiya Hikouemon Shigitomi was dispatched to Edo, departing from Fukui today.
October 9th: Upon being summoned by Senior Councilor Abe Bungo-no-kami Masatake, deputy Murakami Santayū Masamine went and was informed that the residence of Honda Magotarō Naganori in Asakusa would be requisitioned for official use, and that matters regarding replacement land would be communicated later by the Construction Magistrate.
