現代語訳
（前ページより続き）外様組を仰せ付けられ、上田八郎右衛門組へ入り、御城御番を相勤めた。
一、正徳三巳年（1713）四月、江戸勤番のため登り、同年十月に帰国した。
一、享保十七子年（1732）十月、金山奉行を仰せ付けられた。
一、同十八丑年（1733）十二月、御国目付衆の御用において、請前の筋に精を出して相勤めた段を仰せ出された。
一、元文四未年（1739）十二月、庄田又兵衛の弟・七郎右衛門を婿養子にしたい旨、願いの通り許可された。
一、同五申年（1740）三月、願いの通り御役を御免になり、外様組付を仰せ付けられ、神保内蔵助組へ入った。
但し、御勘定が済んでいないため、御番入りはしなかった。
一、同年六月六日、七十三歳にて病死。

(Continued from previous page) He was assigned to the Tozama-gumi (outside retainer unit) and placed under the command of Ueda Hachirozaemon's unit, where he served as castle guard (o-shiro o-ban).
Item: In the 4th month of Shōtoku 3, the year of the Snake (1713), he traveled to Edo for duty rotation, and returned in the 10th month of the same year.
Item: In the 10th month of Kyōhō 17, the year of the Rat (1732), he was appointed as Commissioner of the Gold Mines (Kinzan-bugyō).
Item: In the 12th month of the same 18th year, the year of the Ox (1733), it was officially declared that he had diligently performed his duties in the matters entrusted to him by the domain inspectors (o-kuni-metsuke-shū).
Item: In the 12th month of Genbun 4, the year of the Ram (1739), his request to take Shōda Matabei's younger brother, Shichirozaemon, as a son-in-law and adopted heir was granted.
Item: In the 3rd month of the same 5th year, the year of the Monkey (1740), as he had requested, he was relieved of his official duties and assigned to the Tozama-gumi, placed under the command of Jinbo Kuranoshuke's unit.
Note: As his financial accounts had not yet been settled, he did not actually enter into guard service.
Item: On the 6th day of the 6th month of the same year, he died of illness at the age of 73.
