現代語訳
実は庄田数兵衛忠芥の二男
妻は養父・伊右衛門光近の娘（明和四亥年九月二十日病死、法名：直庵妙空大姉、葬所は同上）
一、元文五申年閏七月、跡式御知行百石、相違なく下し置かれ、外様組付に仰せ付けられ、神保内蔵助組へ入り、御城御番を相勤め候事。
一、寛延三午年三月、御供として勤番のため罷り上り、御道中御本陣番を相勤め、同十月、交代にて罷り下り候事。
一、宝暦三酉年三月、甥・伊右衛門、願いの通り養子に仰せ付けられ候事。
一、明和五子年七月、願いの通り、忰・伊右衛門、御番代に仰せ付けられ候事。
一、同八亥年八月三日、六十六歳にて病死。法名：一源曹隔居士、葬所は同上。

1. In the intercalary 7th month of Genbunn 5, the year of the Monkey: He was granted, without dispute, the inherited stipend of 100 koku; assigned to the Tozama-gumi (outer retainer group); placed under the command of Jimbo Kurannosuke's unit; and performed duty as castle guard.
2. In the 3rd month of Kan'en 3, the year of the Horse: He traveled to Edo [the shogunal capital] to serve in the escort party, performed duty as guard at the official lodging (honjin) along the road, and returned home upon rotation in the 10th month of the same year.
3. In the 3rd month of Hōreki 3, the year of the Rooster: His nephew Iemon was, in accordance with his petition, appointed as his adopted son.
4. In the 7th month of Meiwa 5, the year of the Rat: His son Iemon was, in accordance with his petition, appointed as his replacement in guard duty.
5. On the 3rd day of the 8th month of Meiwa 8, the year of the Boar: He died of illness at the age of 66. Posthumous Buddhist name: Ichigen Sōkaku Koji; burial place: same as above.
