　　金津奉行白石十郎右衛門御用引申遣其段御用人へ申達候是ハ謁ニ付御用人ゟ通達有之故ニ
　　然処右同日御家督御礼之恐悦も有之御家老中廻勤可致之処是ハ御
　　廻文ニ而前日夕方金津へ申参候事故御用引之達遅く相成筈故其段御家老中
　　へ申達候以来ハ恐悦御触有之節金津奉行出福達候得ハ勿論恐悦
申上候筈若
　　又出福之達無之候得ハ同役月番恐悦罷出候節金津奉行御用引之段御達申上候様
　　ニ仕度旨相伺候処御家老中御評議之上以来其通取扱候様被申聞候併右御達申上候
　　後ニ可致出福御も難計奉存候得共若出福仕候ハヽ恐悦可申上筈ニ奉存候此段も兼而
　　御聞置被下候様御用番左膳方へ月番西尾五右衛門申達置候処

　　但右之紙同役中ヘ令廻達候且又組用人壱人ツヽ立番并御玄冠番御小人指出候様組小頭へ申付之
　　御座所御門へ口上扣を以申付之
一享保八卯二月廿一日今度御相続ニ付御料理被下候先御代御目付共へハ召出之御酒被下御肴御直被下置候御目付月番
　迄奏者番中ゟ御徒使を以可申来処手紙ニ而申来候付先格違い候段申達候旨有之

現代語訳

ただし天保元年寅年九月二十三日邦之助様御誕生の際の恐悦で御家老中が謁見されたが、この際御城代への席付については御目付が案内し、御家老の息子は下の部屋に控えており御用人から案内があった。また高知中をはじめ諸月番が残って御用部屋において申し渡しがあった際、高知中の案内は行わないはずである。《割書：天保五年午年七月二十八日若殿様御誕生日恐悦で御家老中謁見の際、残りの件は御用人が申し談じて御家老中へ相談し、御城内へは通さないこと》

　一、御家老中が謁見される際の往来では御目付が先立つ
　　ただし詰められた上は御目付が繰り出す場所へ皆別座する

一、恐悦謁見および廻勤等の際の金津奉行御用引き取扱いの件
　一、天保六年未年九月二十五日殿様御誕生日の恐悦で御鉄砲の間で御家老中の謁見があった。この際金津奉行白石十郎右衛門に御用引きを申し付けその旨を御用人へ申し達した。これは謁見について御用人から通達があったためである。
　　ところが右同日御家督御礼の恐悦もあり御家老中が廻勤するところ、これは御廻文で前日夕方に金津へ申し参ったことなので、御用引きの達しが遅くなるはずなので、その旨を御家老中へ申し達した。今後は恐悦の御触れがある際、金津奉行が出福の達しをすれば当然恐悦を申し上げるはずであるが、もし出福の達しがなければ、同役月番が恐悦に罷り出る際に金津奉行御用引きの旨を御達し申し上げるようにしたい旨を相談したところ、御家老中の御評議の上、今後その通り取り扱うよう申し聞かされた。併せて右の御達し申し上げた後に出福することも計り難いと存じますが、もし出福いたしましたら恐悦を申し上げるはずと存じます。この点もあらかじめお聞き置き下さるよう、御用番左膳方へ月番西尾五右衛門が申し達し置いたところ、承知の旨を申し聞かされた。

一、天明八年申年九月六日の奉書で、旧臘中将御拝任並びに当夏御姫様が御誕生された御祝儀を来る九日に御本丸において御吸物御酒を下される旨、五時に登城前にあった。また御目見えが済んだ十三歳以上の子供も同五日五時以前に罷り出るよう申し聞かせるべきである。

　右は筆頭太郎右衛門方へ申し来たり、太郎右衛門から即刻廻達で直々に同役共が麻上下着で御座所において御礼を申し上げた。

一、享和元年酉年三月二十三日、酒井十之丞が申し聞いたのは、明後二十五日殿様御誕生日の御祝儀を御座所において御家老中へ申し上げるはずなので、五時半に罷り出るよう申し聞いた。これについて御帳付一人、御坊主、御小人、荒子等が御門所で滞りないよう申し聞き、その旨を御門所へ申し付けた。
　　ただし右の紙は同役中へ廻達させ、また組用人一人ずつ立番並びに御玄冠番御小人を指し出すよう組小頭へ申し付け、御座所御門へ口上控えをもって申し付けた。

一、享保八年卯年二月二十一日、今度の御相続について御料理を下された。先御代の御目付共へは召し出しの御酒を下され御肴を御直に下し置かれた。御目付月番まで奏者番中から御徒使をもって申し来るところ、手紙で申し来たため、先例と違う旨を申し達したとのことがあった。

However, on the 23rd day of the 9th month of Tenpō 1 (1830), year of the tiger, during the expressions of gratitude for the birth of Lord Kuninosuke, the chief retainers had an audience. On this occasion, regarding seating arrangements for the castle deputy, the inspector provided guidance, and the sons of chief retainers waited in the lower room with guidance from the chamberlain. Also, when senior retainers and various monthly duty officers remained and received instructions in the business room, guidance for the senior retainers was not supposed to be provided. {Marginal note: On the 28th day of the 7th month of Tenpō 5 (1834), year of the horse, during expressions of gratitude for Young Lord's birthday when chief retainers had an audience, remaining matters were to be discussed with the chamberlain and consulted with the chief retainers, and not communicated within the castle}

1. Regarding the handling of Kanazu magistrate's official duties during expressions of gratitude, audiences, and circuit duties
　1. On the 25th day of the 9th month of Tenpō 6 (1835), year of the sheep, during expressions of gratitude for His Lordship's birthday, there was an audience with chief retainers in the firearms room. On this occasion, Kanazu magistrate Shiraishi Jūrōemon was assigned official duties, and this was communicated to the chamberlain. This was because there was notification from the chamberlain regarding the audience.
　　However, on the same day there were also expressions of gratitude for succession celebration, and while the chief retainers were to make circuit visits, since this was communicated to Kanazu via circular letter the previous evening, the notification of official duties would be delayed, so this matter was communicated to the chief retainers. In the future, when there are announcements of expressions of gratitude, if the Kanazu magistrate receives notification to come to Fukui, he will naturally express gratitude, but if there is no such notification, when fellow monthly duty officers come to express gratitude, we would like the Kanazu magistrate's official duties to be announced. When this was consulted, after deliberation by the chief retainers, we were told to handle it this way in the future. Additionally, it is difficult to predict whether he might come to Fukui after such announcements are made, but if he does come to Fukui, we believe he should express gratitude. Regarding this point as well, monthly duty officer Nishio Goemon communicated in advance to Chamberlain Sazen's office to please keep this in mind, and we were told it was understood.

According to the official letter of the 6th day of the 9th month of Tenmei 8 (1788), year of the monkey, regarding the celebration of the appointment to Middle Captain last winter and the birth of the Princess this summer, soup and sake will be served at the main castle on the coming 9th day, which was announced at 5 o'clock before castle attendance. Also, children aged 13 and above who have completed their formal introduction should appear before 5 o'clock on the same 5th day.

　The above came to head scribe Tarōemon, and Tarōemon immediately circulated it, with colleagues directly wearing hemp formal dress and expressing gratitude at the audience chamber.

On the 23rd day of the 3rd month of Kyōwa 1 (1801), year of the rooster, Sakai Jūnosuke conveyed that the celebration for His Lordship's birthday the day after tomorrow on the 25th would be expressed to the chief retainers at the audience chamber, so they should appear at 5:30. Regarding this, one record keeper, Buddhist monks, pages, servants, and others were told to ensure no delays at the gate, and this was communicated to the gate office.
　　However, the above document was circulated among colleagues, and it was ordered through group heads that one group chamberlain each should stand guard, and pages for formal cap duty should be assigned, and this was ordered to the audience chamber gate through oral instructions.

1. On the 21st day of the 2nd month of Kyōhō 8 (1723), year of the rabbit, regarding the recent succession, a meal was provided. To the former generation's inspectors, summoning sake was given and delicacies were directly bestowed. While it should have been communicated to the monthly duty inspector from the master of ceremonies through a foot messenger, since it came by letter, it was noted that this differed from precedent.
