　　　　一　本知三百七拾五石より御役料馬持面々上ケ米
　　　　　　有之付五年之内当年宛持馬　御免ニ候尤番
　　　　　　所持不仕候年者馬上ニ而之御奉公可被相除候間

　　　　　　仲ケ間ゟ助合可相勤候猶以馬　御免年之儀者
　　　　　　御目付共指図可有之候但本知役料馬共ニ馬

現代語訳

その心得でいるべきです。簡略の件については、面々の心得によって違いもある様子ですが、五ヶ年の内に仰せ出される件ですので、面々その旨を理解し、倹約の件が乱れることのないよう慎んでいただくべきです。あまり厳しくすれば、かえって怠りにもなりかねませんので、その程度で了解していただくべきです。以上
正月

一、本知三百七十五石より御役料馬持ちの面々については、上げ米があることにつき、五年の内は当年宛で持馬を御免とします。もっとも番所持ちをしない年は、馬上での御奉公は除かれますので、仲間から助け合って勤めることができます。なお馬御免の年の件については、御目付共が指図いたします。ただし本知・役料馬ともに馬御免一ヶ年宛の月数が済みましたら、早速馬を持つべきです。その節は月番御目付共へ必ず相談するはずです。なおまた詳細の件については、御目付共が申し伝えます。

一、馬取持ちの年は、今まで御借り米二歩通の内、五厘通は御用捨で残り一歩五厘通は米手形にて御返し米を御渡しするはずです。以上

First month

1. Regarding those who hold horses for official duty from a basic stipend of 375 koku or more, due to the additional rice levy, horse-keeping is exempted for the current year within the five-year period. However, in years when one does not serve guard duty, mounted service shall be excluded, so one may serve with assistance from colleagues. Furthermore, regarding years of horse exemption, the inspectors (metsuke) will provide instructions. However, when the months of one year of horse exemption for both basic stipend and duty allowance horses are completed, horses should be kept immediately. At that time, one must consult with the monthly duty inspectors. Moreover, regarding detailed matters, the inspectors will communicate them.

1. In years of horse-keeping, of the usual two bu rate of borrowed rice, five rin rate is forgiven for official use, and the remaining one bu five rin rate shall be returned as rice certificates for rice distribution. The above.
