○東京から伊香保への道順
○日本橋から二里二十七丁余り：湯島五丁目に神田明神があり、また書籍館（図書館）がある。本郷五丁目に大学医学部の建物がある。白山の円乗寺には八百屋お七の墓があり、同所に白山神社がある。
○板橋 二里九丁余り：戸田川原は桜草の名所であり、戸田川の中央を東京府と埼玉県の管轄の境界としている。もともとこの川は渡し船であったが、明治八年に木橋が架けられた。
○蕨 一里九丁余り：白旗村に焼米坂があり、焼き米を名物としている。

○From Nihonbashi, approximately 2 ri and 27 chō: At Yushima 5-chōme, there is the Kanda Shrine and also the Shojakukan (library). At Hongō 5-chōme, there is the building of the University Medical Faculty. At Hakusan's Enjōji temple, there is the grave of Yaoya Oshichi, and at the same location stands the Hakusan Shrine.
○Itabashi Approximately 2 ri and 9 chō: The Toda Riverbank is a famous spot for primroses (sakurasō), and the center of the Toda River marks the jurisdictional boundary between Tokyo Prefecture and Saitama Prefecture. Originally, this river was crossed by ferry, but in Meiji 8 (1875), a wooden bridge was constructed.
○Warabi Approximately 1 ri and 9 chō: In Shirahata village there is Yakigome-zaka slope, and roasted rice (yakigome) is a local specialty.
