【右丁】   被仰出候御書付を指添可相触哉と御家老中へ伺入披見候上相触之  ◯七月十一日諸組之者不届有之儀に付御目付触出候得共本文は御家老中申渡之部に有   之故略之  ◯松平大膳右衛門様御領分御菩提寺深川大寧寺儀先月八日致出奔候に付   公儀江も御達有之御尋候事大膳右衛門様ゟ申来候依之当国出生之儀候間御   国之内へ罷越可申哉何方へ成共罷越候はゝ其所に不取遁候様に指留置早々其   段注進可申達候若罷越候を不相達尤囲置候はゝ急度曲事に可被仰付候右   之趣堅可被申付候右大寧寺儀は最前之孝顕寺海雲和尚之事に候以上   別紙之通可相触旨候間可被得其意候以上       八月八日  各中  追而組~  目付中    但右之儀に付昨七日被仰出候趣異変之部尋者之条に出之追而右之者召捕候段     申来ル  ◯松平大膳右衛門様御領分西来寺住持月海と申僧此間長州致出奔候最前大寧   寺爰元孝顕寺住職之内久々月海附居申者に付此者も御国之内へ立入申儀も可有 【左丁】   之哉左候はゝ其所に指留置其段注進可申出候右月海人相書も来候間差添候此段   江戸表ゟ相触候様に申来候面々可被得其意候以上       八月廿七日  人相書略之  右書付御家老中被相渡候に付添書を以相触之   別紙之通可相触旨に候間可被【脇書】「得」其意候以上       八月廿八日   各中 追而組~ 目付中 一元文三午年  ◯勝姫様御婚礼就相済候向後桜田御前様と可奉申候大膳右衛門様御屋敷へ   罷越候而は此方御前様御里御前様と可奉申旨被仰出候間可被得其意候以上       正月廿八日   各中      目付中  ◯博奕之儀兼而御法度之事候処旧冬下々致博奕候趣相聞候に付御吟味之上   夫々被仰付候御家中組手代其外召仕候者共之儀猶又此以後堅申付置候様   可致事に候尤下々屋守等々差置候節は致吟味別而念を入可申付候以上

【右丁】 (前頁よりの続き)仰せ出された御書付を添えて触れを出すべきかと、御家老中へ伺いを立て、披見の上、触れを出した。 ○七月十一日、諸組の者に不届きの儀があったため御目付より触れが出されたが、本文は御家老中申渡しの部に記載があるので、ここでは略す。 ○松平大膳右衛門様御領分の御菩提寺、深川大寧寺の住職が、先月八日に出奔いたしたため、公儀へも届け出がなされ、お尋ねの儀があった旨を大膳右衛門様よりお申し来たり候。これにより、当国出生の者ゆえ、御国内へ立ち入ることがあるかもしれないので、どこへ参ろうとも、その場所で取り逃がさぬよう差し留め置き、早々にその旨注進申し達すべきこと。もし立ち越えたにもかかわらず申し達せず、あるいは囲い置いた場合は、厳しく曲事に仰せ付けられるべきこと。右の趣旨を厳しく申し付けること。なお、右の大寧寺の者は、以前の孝顕寺・海雲和尚のことである。以上。 別紙の通り触れを出すべき旨であるので、各自そのように心得ること。以上。 八月八日 各中 追って組々  目付中 但し書き:右の件につき、昨七日に仰せ出された趣は「異変之部・尋者の条」に記載がある。追って、右の者が召し捕られた旨、申し来たり。 ○松平大膳右衛門様御領分、西来寺住持・月海と申す僧が、このほど長州へ出奔いたした。以前、大寧寺こちらにては孝顕寺住職のうち、長らく月海に付き居った者であるため、この者も御国内へ立ち入ることがあるかもしれない。 【左丁】 そのような場合には、その場所にて差し留め置き、その段注進申し出ること。右、月海の人相書きも来ているので添付する。この段、江戸表より触れるよう申し来たった。各位そのように心得ること。以上。 八月二十七日 人相書きは略す。右書付は御家老中より渡されたため、添書をもって触れを出した。 別紙の通り触れを出すべき旨であるので、各自そのように心得ること。以上。 八月二十八日 各中 追って組々 目付中 --- 元文三午年(1738年) ○勝姫様のご婚礼が滞りなく済まれたので、今後は「桜田御前様」とお申し上げること。大膳右衛門様のお屋敷へお越しの際は、「こちらの御前様」「御里の御前様」とお申し上げるよう仰せ出されたので、各自そのように心得ること。以上。 正月二十八日 各中     目付中 ○博奕の儀はかねてより御法度のことであるが、旧冬(昨年の冬)に下々の者が博奕をいたした趣が聞こえてきたため、御吟味の上、それぞれに仰せ付けられた。御家中・組手代、その他召し使っている者どもについて、なおまたこれ以後は厳しく申し付けておくようにすること。もっとも、下々の屋守等を差し置く際には、よく吟味して、別して念を入れて申し付けること。以上。

**[Right Folio]** *(Continued from previous page)* — [a query was submitted to the Senior Elders (go-karō-chū) as to whether the previously announced written notice should be attached and circulated; after review, the notice was duly circulated.] ○ On the 11th day of the 7th month, due to misconduct by members of the various groups, the inspectors issued a notice; however, since the main text is recorded in the section of pronouncements from the Senior Elders, it is omitted here. ○ It has been communicated from Lord Matsudaira Daizen'emon that the resident monk of Daineiji Temple in Fukagawa — the family temple (bodaiji) within Lord Daizen'emon's domain — absconded on the 8th of last month, and that the matter has been reported to the authorities (kōgi) and an inquiry has been issued. As this person was born in this province, there is a possibility they may have entered this domain. Wherever this person may go, they are to be detained without fail at that location, and this is to be reported promptly. Should anyone fail to report the person's presence, or should anyone be found to have harbored them, that person shall be severely punished without exception. The above is to be strictly communicated to all. Note that the person in question from Daineiji is the same individual formerly known as Kaiunoshō of Kōkenji Temple. The above. As the notice is to be circulated as per the attached document, each person is to take heed accordingly. The above. **8th day of the 8th month** — To All Parties; additionally to each group — From the Inspectors *Note: Regarding this matter, the pronouncement made on the 7th of yesterday is recorded in the "Section on Unusual Events — Article on Wanted Persons." Subsequently, word was received that the said person had been apprehended.* ○ A monk by the name of Gekkai, the head priest of Sairaiji Temple within Lord Matsudaira Daizen'emon's domain, has recently absconded to Nagashū (Chōshū / present-day western Yamaguchi Prefecture). As this person had long been attached to Gekkai during Gekkai's time as a resident monk at Kōkenji Temple here, there is a possibility that this person may also enter this domain. **[Left Folio]** Should this be the case, the person is to be detained on the spot, and the matter is to be reported without delay. A description of Gekkai's appearance (hitosōgaki) has also been received and is attached herewith. Notice has been received from Edo to circulate this information. It has been proclaimed that when visiting Lord Daizen'emon's residence, she is to be addressed as "the Lady of this residence" or "the Lady of her parental home." Each person is to take heed accordingly. The above. **28th day of the 1st month** — To All Parties — From the Inspectors ○ Gambling has long been prohibited by law. However, it has come to our attention that persons of lower status engaged in gambling during last winter. Following an inquiry, appropriate punishments have been assigned to each person involved. Regarding members of the domain retainer band, group deputies (kumi-tedai), and other servants employed within the domain, all are to be strictly instructed henceforth not to engage in such conduct. In particular, when placing persons of low status such as estate caretakers (yashikimori) in service, due diligence must be exercised in vetting them and they are to be given especially firm instruction.
