地震後教（ちしんごけう） 南国 休応斎老人箸
家高故不貴（いへたかきかゆえにたつとからず） 以平家為貴（ひらやをもつてたつとしとす）
尻重故難助（しりをもきゆゑにたすかりがたく） 以逃出為助（にけいつるをもつてたすかるとす）
火是一生災（ひはこれいつしやうのさい） 火｜不消共焼（けさされはともにやける）
地震万歳楽（ぢしんはこれまんさらく） 命終迄連震（いのちおはるまてつれたつてゆれる）
店不尋無決（たなたづねたればけつしてなし） 無店野陳張（たななきはのちんをはる）

家が高いからといって貴いわけではない → 平屋こそを貴しとすべし
尻が重いがゆえに助かりがたい → 逃げ出すことこそを助かる道とすべし
火はこれ一生の災いなり → 消さなければともに焼けてしまう
地震は万歳楽のごとし → 命が終わるまで連れ立って揺れ続ける
店（たな）を尋ねれば決してなし → 店のない者は野の陣（野外）を張るべし
