お尋ねの旨、承知いたしました。右の同人は、拙者の宅へも時折参る者でございます。もっとも、十五日は長京天王のお参りに行き、帰りが遅くなった者であろうと思われる方面から、（拙者宅に）引き留め置いた次第でございます。それ以外の事情については存じておりません。ありのままに申し上げます。以上。

Moreover, on the 15th, as he appeared to be someone who had gone to worship at the Chōkyō Tennō shrine and was returning late, I had him stay over at my residence. I have no knowledge of any other circumstances. I hereby provide this truthful account. That is all.
