産物を附送り戻馬之稼も有之段
無相違然共其道筋ニより附送并戻り
馬之荷品ニは相違有之一様ニは難極
候依之今般衆議之上六百七拾八ヶ村を
中馬村と定以来格別馬数も不相増

産物を輸送し、戻り馬での稼ぎもあることは間違いない。しかし、その道筋により輸送および戻り馬の荷物の種類には違いがあり、一様には決めがたい。これにより、今回衆議の結果、六百七十八ヶ村を中馬村と定め、今後は格別に馬数も増やさず、その所々の従来のやり方で産物を中馬により輸送し、戻り馬の稼ぎも行い、その品物については

中馬で継ぎ合わせることも自由に行い、松本町で荷物の受け取り・支払いを行うことは従来通り心得ること。その他の品物は宿場および馬継場で継ぎ送りを行うべき旨を裁許する。先の裁許書は取り上げとし、中馬の荷物の種類、場所ごとの規定および手数料、中馬稼業を行う村名、およそのの馬数ともに以下に記す。

There is no doubt that local products are transported and there are earnings from return horses. However, depending on the routes, there are differences in the transported goods and the cargo carried by return horses, making it difficult to establish uniform rules. Therefore, following deliberations, 678 villages have been designated as chūma villages. Henceforth, without particularly increasing the number of horses, they shall transport local products via chūma according to the customary practices of each locality, and engage in return horse operations. they may freely arrange relay transport via chūma, and the receiving and payment of goods in Matsumoto town shall be conducted as customary. For other goods, relay transport shall be conducted at post stations and horse relay stations. This ruling supersedes previous rulings. The previous ruling documents are hereby revoked. The types of chūma cargo, regulations for each location, fees, village names engaged in chūma operations, and approximate number of horses are recorded below.
