御実検に入り、その節御目見えし、忠昌公に召し出された。右の働きどもの覚書の写しを今でも所持している。善右衛門宗虎の子、丹羽安左衛門吉次は、光通公の御幼年の時分より召し出されて勤め、貞享三年丙寅年の一統の後、暇を下された。その子与左衛門義房は、前は水野隼人正殿に勤め、以後召し出された。
吉邦公の御代、享保元年丙申年に跡目を下された。

先祖関若狭武豚という者は、芦田右衛門の先祖芦田下野守信守に仕え、信濃国佐久郡の内で二十五貫の知行を行い、同国芦田宿より西南の方、山辺という所に居住していた。その子関惣左衛門勝元が家督を継ぎ、芦田右衛門信蕃、その家の嫡子松平右衛門太夫康真（後に加藤宗月と号す）に仕えて越前へ来た。勝元の息子民部右衛門武成、その子民部右衛門永栄の二代ともに芦田家の与力を勤めた。永栄の子が現在の業元である。
吉邦公の御代、享保二年丁酉年に召し出された。

He was included in the formal inspection, had an audience at that time, and was summoned by Lord Tadamasa. He still possesses copies of records documenting these military achievements. The son of Zenemon Munetora, Niwa Yazaemon Yoshitsugu, was summoned to service from Lord Mitsumichi's childhood and served until he was granted leave after the unification in the third year of Jokyo, year of the Fire Tiger. His son Yozaemon Yoshifusa previously served Lord Mizuno Hayato-no-sho and was later summoned to service.
In the first year of Kyoho, year of the Fire Monkey, during Lord Yoshikuni's reign, he was granted succession.

His ancestor, a man called Seki Wakasa Taketon, served Ashida Gemon's ancestor Ashida Shimotuke-no-kami Nobumori, held a fief of 25 kan in Saku District of Shinano Province, and resided in a place called Yamabe, southwest of Ashida-juku in the same province. His son Seki Sozaemon Katsumoto inherited the headship and served Ashida Gemon Nobushige and his heir Matsudaira Gemon-no-tayu Yasumasa (later known as Kato Sogetsu), coming to Echizen. Katsumoto's son Minbu-emon Takenari and his son Minbu-emon Nagahide both served two generations as retainers of the Ashida family. Nagahide's son is the current Gyogen.
