先祖新羅三郎義光より五代の孫で信州大井の城主大井信濃守光長の六代の後裔である大井無二次郎光政に至って、羽州由利郡赤宇津亀田の城にいた。これより称号を赤宇津と改めた。その光政より三代目の赤宇津孫次郎光隆まで亀田に在城していた（系図を所持している。光隆の弟に奥村図書という者がいて、忠昌御代に御奉公し、その子宮内の代に御暇を願い申し上げて他国へ行った。図書の二男津川弥左衛門は御新規の節まで御家に勤めていた）。その光隆の一男である赤宇津主水正光の父以来、台徳院様の御勘気を被ったことがあったため、山城国嵯峨に蟄居した。その子の大井兼山之順という者も嵯峨にいた。兼山の子織部富礼は、寛文十一辛亥年（1671年）に松岡において昌勝公に召し出され、その後吉邦公の御部屋住の時から付けられた。

His ancestor was the fifth-generation descendant of Shinra Saburo Yoshimitsu, and he descended from Oi Shinano-no-kami Mitsunaga, lord of Oi Castle in Shinano Province. Six generations later came Oi Mujijiro Mitsumasa, who resided at Akautsu Kameda Castle in Yuri District, Dewa Province. From this time, the family name was changed to Akautsu. For three generations from Mitsumasa until Akautsu Magojiro Mitutaka, they resided at Kameda Castle (they possess a family genealogy. Mitsutaka's younger brother was Okumura Tosho, who served during Lord Tadamasa's reign. His son Kunai requested leave and went to other provinces. Tosho's second son, Tsugawa Yazaemon, served the house until the time of the new regulations). From Mitsutaka's eldest son, Akautsu Mominokami Mitsuyuki's father onward, there was an incident that incurred the displeasure of Lord Taitokuin, so they went into retirement in Saga, Yamashiro Province. His son, called Oi Kanzan-no-jo, also resided in Saga. Kanzan's son, Oribe Tomire, was summoned by Lord Masakatsu at Matsuoka in the 11th year of Kanbun, year of the metal boar (1671), and thereafter was attached to Lord Yoshikuni from the time he was heir apparent.
