the caretaker Tsuda Kuemon (Morijo) brought and submitted the following written report:
Matsudaira Hyōbu-no-taiyu's illness has worsened and appears to be
at a critical stage. I have come to report this matter. That is all.

- On the same day (past seven o'clock at dawn) at the Tokiwabashi residence, [he] passed away
- On the same day, regarding the same matter, to report to the duty magistrate Matsudaira Ukon-no-shōgen (Takemoto), Yorimomo (Naomichi) brought and submitted the following written document:
Matsudaira Hyōbu-no-taiyu's illness could not be cured and he
died this morning past seven o'clock. That is all.
