大御所様御付女中へ、去年と御同様に御贈り物これあり。且つ又、御供に召し連れられた御家老以下の拝領物、並びに末々まで頂戴物、その外、御供女中の御目見・拝領物等、すべて去年と御同様ゆえ、記さず。

Upon completion of the presentation of gifts, Oyoshimaru received, by personal bestowal [directly from the hand of the Ō-gosho-sama], five tan of chirimen (figured silk crepe) and additionally one box containing a ceremonial folding fan (suehiro) [comprising fifteen fans].
Note: Details regarding the receipt of meals and other such matters on this occasion are not fully known.
Gifts were sent to the ladies-in-waiting attached to the Ō-gosho-sama, in the same manner as the previous year. Furthermore, as the gifts received by the chief retainers (karō) and below who accompanied him, as well as the gifts received by all attendants down to the lowest ranks, and additionally the audience gifts (mokuken hairy ōmono) received by the accompanying ladies-in-waiting upon their formal introduction (o-mie), were all the same as the previous year, they are not recorded here.
Oyoshimaru had audience with the Ō-gosho-sama up to four times in total. At the time of his farewell visit, he received numerous newly brushed paintings [by the Ō-gosho-sama's own hand]. Again, he received hand-length abalone (te-naga awabi). Additionally, as parting gifts, he received one set of tiered lacquered food boxes (さげjūbako / sage-jū) and two loads of round food containers (gyōki). He departed before the Hour of the Cock [before approximately 6:00 p.m.]. Tarōemon came out to receive him at the shikidai (entry landing).
As one Okohito-metsuke (minor inspector) and two Iga-no-mono (Iga retainers, i.e., ninja-type attendants) came forth as escort for the departure, they were presented with meal provisions and itemized gift lists (mokuroku). As expressions of gratitude, an envoy — the acting chief page-commander and steward Sasaji Gonemon (Kō-■) — was dispatched to the Senior Councillors (rōjū) and to the senior councillors attached to both the Ō-gosho-sama and the Dainagon-sama. Separately, as a further expression of gratitude, a senior guardsman (Ō-go-banshi) was dispatched as envoy to the Rusui (caretakers/resident officials). Additionally, an envoy — the resident official of the same place, Arakawa Sukeemon (Katsue) — was dispatched to the Kyoto Shoshidai, Matsudaira Bungo-no-kami (Sukenori).
