大納言様御付御老中・秋元但馬守（涼朝）殿へは、御幼年につき、御使者・御留守居・加藤長右衛門（正敏）が差し出された。
但し、右の寒中御機嫌御伺いについて、御幼年の間は御使者を差し出される儀は、以後定例となるため記さない。
一、十二月十二日、御用番・松平右近将監（武元）殿より御呼び出しがあり、御留守居・横田作大夫（尚道）が罷り出たところ、去る五日に差し出した御伺書へ御付札をもって御差図があった。

To the attached Senior Councillor Akimoto Tajima-no-Kami (Suzutomo) of the Lord Great Counselor's household, given his young age [i.e., the Lord Great Counselor's youth], the residential caretaker (rusuí) Katō Chōemon (Masatoshi) was dispatched as envoy.
Note: Regarding the above midwinter inquiry after the Lord Great Counselor's wellbeing, the dispatch of an envoy during the period of his youth is henceforth established as standard practice and will not be recorded separately.
1. On the 12th day of the 12th month, the duty councillor Matsudaira Ukon-shōgen (Takemoto) summoned the residential caretaker Yokota Sakudayū (Naomichi), who duly appeared. Through an attached note (tsukefuda) appended to the letter of inquiry (ukagaisho) submitted on the 5th of the previous month, the following instructions were conveyed:
