松庭朱世傑の撰する算学啓蒙三巻。昔、その年上師兄久田氏玄哲が梓に刻んで以って無窮に流布せり。夫れ数は六芸の其の一にして至る者鮮なし。
古人云く、数は理の先なりと。誠なるかな此の言なり。太極の下に天元の一を立てて、正負を分け、以って赤黒の算木二品を以ってし、同名相乗すれば正となり、異名相乗すれば負となり、而して或いは同減異加し、或いは異減同加し、相消し得て、而して渾然たる衆理自然に其の中に備わる。学者之を知らずして日々至れりと言う者は否なり。此の書一たび出でて数術

The three volumes of Mathematical Enlightenment compiled by Zhu Shijie of the Pine Court. In the past, the senior fellow disciple Kuda Gentetsu carved it into woodblocks and spread it to infinity. Numbers are one of the six arts, yet few reach mastery in it.
The ancients said that numbers are the foundation of principles. How true these words are! Below the Supreme Ultimate, we establish the heavenly unity, divide it into positive and negative, using red and black counting rods of two types. When like signs are multiplied, the result is positive; when unlike signs are multiplied, the result is negative. Sometimes we subtract like and add unlike, sometimes subtract unlike and add like, canceling each other out, and thus all principles naturally exist within in perfect harmony.
