まし〳〵て則不二の野に下の宮とあらわれ
させ給ふ浅間大菩薩の仰に我下野の国を出し時
せんたんと言あしけの馬にせんたんのくらを
置給りたれハすゑの世迄もあしけの馬を神
馬に引へし扨国主の召仕ひ給ふ良等八人八王子
となり十三人の女房達おもひ〳〵に神となり
ける次第なり加様に神となり駿河の国に
御跡をたれおハします御事咲や姫の御ゑん
きにて御ようせうより佛をしんかう被成
法花経とくしゆし給ふくりきとかや中にも
太夫の御忠きんしやうこも今も末代もためし
なき御事なりさる程に御本地御ゑんきをハ
我とよむ人は一ヶ月に三度つゝよむへし
よみへぬ人は人によませて一ヶ月に一度成共
ちやうもん有へし一度ちやうもんする人は
七度せんしやうする心成リ夢〳〵うたかふ
やからす若うたかひをなす人は今生
にて思ふ事かなわし未来は悪道に入也
現代語訳
ましまして、すぐに富士の野に下の宮として現れなさった。浅間大菩薩の仰せによると、「私が下野の国を出た時、千反という名の芦毛の馬に千反の鞍を置いていたので、末の世まで芦毛の馬を神馬として引くべし」とのことである。さて、国主にお仕えになった郎等八人は八王子となり、十三人の女房たちはそれぞれに神となった次第である。このように神となって駿河の国に御跡を垂れていらっしゃるのは、咲耶姫の御縁起によって、御幼少より仏を信仰なされ、
法華経を読誦なさった功徳によるものである。中でも太夫の御忠勤の証拠も、今も末代も例のない御事である。そうであるから、御本地の御縁起を、自ら読む人は一ヶ月に三度ずつ読むべきである。読めない人は人に読ませて、一ヶ月に一度でも聴聞すべきである。一度聴聞する人は七度転生する心得である。決して疑ってはならない。もし疑いをなす人は、今生において思うことが叶わず、未来は悪道に入るのである。
英語訳
And immediately, [the deity] appeared as the Lower Shrine in the field of Fuji. According to the words of Asama Daibodhisattva, "When I departed from Shimotsuke Province, I placed a thousand-tan saddle on a dapple-gray horse named Sentan, so until the end of time, dapple-gray horses should be kept as sacred horses." Now, the eight retainers who served the provincial lord became the Eight Princes, and the thirteen ladies-in-waiting each became deities in their own way. In this manner, having become deities, they left their traces in Suruga Province through the divine connection with Princess Sakuya, who from her early childhood devoted herself to Buddhism,
and gained merit through reciting the Lotus Sutra. Among all these, the evidence of the lord's loyal service remains an unprecedented matter even now and for future generations. Therefore, those who can read this divine origin story themselves should read it three times each month. Those who cannot read should have others read it for them and listen at least once a month. Those who listen once will have the understanding of seven rebirths. Never doubt this. If anyone harbors doubt, their wishes will not be fulfilled in this life, and in the future they will fall into the evil realms.
