　隅田川の詠多し後二条院大納言
　　　　こととへは答へぬ月の隅田川
　　　　　　　都のともと見るかひもなし
　此外略しぬ
　　　同村【隅田村　墨田区向島あたり】
　清滝山連花寺新儀の真言宗本尊阿弥陀如来御朱印
　七石此寺に聖徳大子の像有縁記を見れは北条経時の守
　本尊にて此寺いにしへは鎌倉の佐介谷に有りしを経時
　の一子頼介出家して此所父経時の知行所故有閑の【を】好

　鎌倉の蓮花寺を此地へ写し大子の像を安置れし
　ことにてむかしは伽藍地なりしに天正年中下総の千葉
　家両家と別れ合戦度々の事にて其頃より衰微せしといふ
　　　須崎村【墨田区向島四〜五丁目あたり】
　此辺のこと江戸砂子にあれは略しぬ牛の御前の有最勝寺に
　遠からぬ年の頃地中より堀出せし迚釈迦菜を彫刻
　せし青色の長五尺斗の石なり銘に貞観拾七年何月何日と
　ありて今年迄凡八百有余年珍敷古仏といふへし《割書：僕｜　》其石を
　見ざれ共須崎村の名主の宅に石摺にせし像有釈迦の形も

隅田川を詠んだ歌は多い。後二条院大納言の歌：
　　　問うても答えない月の隅田川
　　　　　都の友と見る甲斐もない
この他は省略する。

同村【隅田村　墨田区向島あたり】
清滝山蓮花寺、新義真言宗、本尊阿弥陀如来、御朱印七石。この寺には聖徳太子の像がある。縁起を見ると、北条経時の守り本尊であって、この寺は昔は鎌倉の佐介谷にあったものを、経時の一子頼介が出家して、この場所が父経時の知行所であったため閑静な場所を好んで、鎌倉の蓮花寺をこの地に移し、太子の像を安置したということである。昔は伽藍も立派であったが、天正年間に下総の千葉家が両家に分かれて合戦が度々あったことから、その頃より衰微したという。

須崎村【墨田区向島四〜五丁目あたり】
この辺りのことは『江戸砂子』にあるので省略する。牛の御前のある最勝寺から遠くない年の頃、地中から掘り出したといって釈迦像を彫刻した青色の長さ五尺ほどの石である。銘に貞観十七年何月何日とあって、今年まで凡そ八百有余年、珍しい古仏というべきである。その石を見ていないが、須崎村の名主の宅に石摺にした像があり、釈迦の形も[続く]

Same village [Sumida Village - around Mukōjima, Sumida Ward]
Seiryūzan Rengeji Temple, New Shingon sect, principal deity Amida Nyorai, shogunal seal of seven koku of rice. This temple houses a statue of Prince Shōtoku. According to the temple's founding record, it was the protective deity of Hōjō Tsunetoki. Originally, this temple was located in Sasuke Valley in Kamakura, but Tsunetoki's son Yorisuke became a monk and, since this location was his father Tsunetoki's domain and he preferred quiet places, moved the Rengeji Temple from Kamakura to this location and enshrined the statue of the Prince. In ancient times it had magnificent temple buildings, but during the Tenshō era (1573-1592), the Chiba family of Shimōsa split into two factions and fought repeatedly, leading to the temple's decline from that time.

Susaki Village [around Mukōjima 4th-5th districts, Sumida Ward]
Since matters concerning this area are described in "Edo Sunago," I will omit them. Not far from Saishōji Temple where Ushi-no-gozen is located, around that time a blue stone about five shaku long with a carved Shakyamuni Buddha was excavated from the ground. The inscription reads "17th year of Jōgan, [month and day]," making it roughly 800-plus years old until this year - truly a rare ancient Buddha statue. Although I have not seen the stone itself, there is a stone rubbing of the image at the headman's residence in Susaki Village, and the form of Shakyamuni also [continues]
