　今の世に画くとは違ひ大雅？物に見へ侍りし也
　　　渋江村【葛飾区東立石・四つ木・東四つ木の一部】
　超越山西光寺真言宗此寺に葛西三郎清重の墳あり
　度々の洪水に崩れてむかしの墳は損て今清重稲荷
　と号して少しき社有葛西三郎のことは東鑑にも記して
　鎌倉右大将家にて時めきし武士也此葛西の地を知行し
　出生の所と見へたり是等は真なる墳に思ひき
　　　上木下川村《割書：土人きね川といふきげ川なる｜べし又云亀毛川トモ》【飾区東四つ木一〜三丁目あたり】
　青竜山浄光寺天台宗にて開山慈覚大師本尊薬師

　如来伝教大師の作仏御朱印五石境内御除地にして
　尤広大なり租米数拾石納る事也
東照宮様葛西御征伐有りし時に此所御陣所となり其
　地を残り無此寺へ下し給ふことにて如此広しといふ村三分の
　一は寺の除地と見へ侍りし也什物にて
権現様#1台徳院様#2之尊像を大猷院#3御画き給ひ此寺え下し
　給ふ宝物有と住僧の物語也し恐れ有る故に不拝見又地中
　より穿出せし唐金の正観音有古仏なりといふ

今の世に描くのとは違って、大雅な物に見えた。

渋江村【葛飾区東立石・四つ木・東四つ木の一部】
超越山西光寺、真言宗。この寺に葛西三郎清重の墓がある。度々の洪水で崩れて昔の墓は損なわれ、今は清重稲荷と号して小さな社がある。葛西三郎のことは『吾妻鏡』にも記されており、鎌倉右大将家（源頼朝）の時代に栄えた武士である。この葛西の地を知行し、出生の地と見える。これらは真の墓と思われる。

上木下川村《土地の人は「きね川」と言う。「きげ川」であろう。また「亀毛川」とも》【葛飾区東四つ木一〜三丁目あたり】
青竜山浄光寺、天台宗で開山は慈覚大師、本尊薬師如来は伝教大師の作仏。御朱印五石、境内は御除地でとても広大である。租米数十石を納めることになっている。

東照宮様（徳川家康）の葛西御征伐があった時にこの場所が御陣所となり、その土地を残らずこの寺へ下し給ったことで、このように広いという。村の三分の一は寺の除地と見えた。什物として、権現様（家康）、台徳院様（秀忠）の尊像を大猷院（家光）がお描きになってこの寺へ下し給った宝物があると住職が語った。恐れ多いため拝見しなかった。また地中から掘り出した唐金の正観音があり、古仏だという。

Shibue Village [parts of Higashi-Tateishi, Yotsuki, and Higashi-Yotsuki in Katsushika Ward]
Chōetsuzan Saikōji Temple, Shingon sect. This temple contains the grave of Kasai Saburō Kiyoshige. Due to repeated floods, it has collapsed and the ancient grave is damaged. Now it is called Kiyoshige Inari and has a small shrine. Kasai Saburō is recorded in the "Azuma Kagami" and was a warrior who prospered during the time of the Kamakura Right General (Minamoto no Yoritomo). He held dominion over this Kasai region and appears to have been born here. These seem to be genuine graves.

Kami-Kinegawa Village [The local people call it "Kinegawa." It should be "Kigegawa." Also called "Kimōgawa"] [around Higashi-Yotsuki 1st-3rd districts, Katsushika Ward]
Seiryūzan Jōkōji Temple, Tendai sect, founded by the Great Master Jikaku, with principal deity Yakushi Nyorai created by Great Master Dengyō. Shogunal seal of five koku, the temple grounds are tax-exempt land and extremely vast. They pay several dozen koku of tribute rice.

When Tōshō-gū-sama (Tokugawa Ieyasu) conducted the conquest of Kasai, this place became his military headquarters, and all that land was granted to this temple, which is why it is so expansive. One-third of the village appears to be the temple's tax-exempt land. Among the temple treasures, there are precious portraits of Gongen-sama (Ieyasu) and Taitoku-in-sama (Hidetada) painted by Daiyū-in (Iemitsu) and granted to this temple, according to the resident monk. Out of reverence, I did not view them. There is also a bronze Shō-Kannon excavated from the ground, said to be an ancient Buddha statue.
