一 公儀御触留留落其数をしらす尤疎漏之至也追々諸
事留評定留等に就て可補之筈
一 公儀御尋者之御触并道中賃銭増之御触今略而不
記之 但道中賃銭増之御触文政二卯正月ゟ御評議之上以後諸向へ相触候儀相止尤御奉行并府中へ被差越候迄也

一 公儀の御触留の漏れ落ちはその数が知れないほどで、まことに疎漏の至りである。追って諸事留・評定留などを参照して補うべきものとする。
一 公儀の尋ね者に関する御触、および道中賃銭増額に関する御触は、今回は省略して記載しない。ただし、道中賃銭増額の御触については、文政二年卯年（1819年）正月より、御評議の上、以降は諸方面へ触れ回すことが取りやめとなった。もっとも、御奉行および府中へ通達されるまでのものに限る。
一 ●印は、御国（福井藩領内）において諸方面へ触れ出した印である。〇印は、江戸表のみへの御触の印である。▲印は、御国において町・四郡などの支配下へ触れ出したもの、あるいは支配頭の心得のための印である。とはいえ、なお漏れ落ちも多いであろう。これもまた、諸事留・評定留および御用状括などを精査して校訂すべきことである。
ただし、印のないものは、東（江戸）・北（国元）いずれへも御触のなかったものである。

Editorial Notes (Preface)
Item 1: The number of omissions in the records of official government directives (御触留) is beyond counting, and this is truly a most regrettable state of negligence. These gaps are to be supplemented in due course by consulting the various records (諸事留) and the council records (評定留).
Item 2: Official directives concerning wanted persons (尋ね者), as well as those concerning increases in road transport fees (道中賃銭増), are omitted and not recorded here. However, it should be noted that regarding the directives on road transport fee increases, from the first month of the second year of Bunsei (1819, Year of the Rabbit), following deliberation, the practice of circulating such notices to all relevant parties was discontinued. This applies only up to the point such notices were forwarded to the magistrates (御奉行) and to Fuchū (the domain capital, present-day Fukui city).
Item 3: The ● symbol indicates a directive circulated to various parties within the domain (御国). The 〇 symbol indicates a directive issued only to the Edo office. The ▲ symbol indicates a directive circulated within the domain to those under the jurisdiction of the towns and four districts (町・四郡), or a notice intended for the awareness of supervisory heads (支配頭). Nevertheless, there are likely still many omissions. These too should be verified and corrected by carefully examining the various records (諸事留), council records (評定留), and bundles of official correspondence (御用状括).
Note: Items without any symbol are those for which no directive was issued either to the east (Edo) or to the north (the home domain).
Item 4: Official directives concerning fundraising solicitations (勧化) by various temples and shrines that are unrelated to the domain are largely omitted and not recorded.
Item 5: As this book prioritizes conciseness, some entries where the text could reasonably be abbreviated have been recorded with only their main points, with the detailed text omitted. For such matters, the original documents should be consulted directly.
Addendum: A certain number of ad hoc directives (当座の御触) are also not recorded.
