一享保二酉八月十三日御土蔵下番森源介病死右代り浅見徳右衛門組永井茂左衛門与申者抜口ニ而御座候段翌十四日
達御耳候処抜口之者入可申旨被仰付候ニ付徳右衛門方へ申越茂左衛門呼寄御土蔵下番ニ御入被下旨并御擬作御土
蔵下番並ニ被仰付候旨与右衛門宅ニ而申渡組之者差添本多民部屋敷へ差越与力之者共へ相渡之候
但右源介儀申上候節御持筒抜口順番前方吟味仕候者共段々抜口今壱人ニ罷成候依之当六月年数三十年より
弐拾年迄吟味仕候書付入 御覧又 探源寺様御代抜口順番之内ゟ見立順番与申年数之抜口ニ而無之候
共年寄身様悪敷者ハ年数前後之構なく抜口へ差越候今度も見立順番を吟味可仕候哉与相伺候処成
程見立順番も吟味可仕置旨被仰付候

一天明八申八月廿一日先達而御持筒組小頭共抜所御金土蔵下番之者御趣意ニ付六人之処五人ニ成減切ニ被仰付候処此度思召を以塩硝蔵番三人
毛屋繰舟番弐人向後ハ御持筒組小頭共抜所ニ被下置御擬作之儀ハ右両所共ニ七石弐人ふち被下置候
但塩硝蔵番三人是迄寄合抜之場所ニ有之候得共向後御持筒組小頭共抜所ニ相極り候且又毛屋繰舟番弐人是迄御水主組
之者抜来候得共是又御持筒小頭共抜所ニ相極候
一支配之儀ハ塩硝蔵番三人ハ稲葉采女支配毛屋繰舟番弐人ハ御目付共支配ニ被仰付候
右ニ付毛屋繰舟番弐人是迄御水主組之者年数を以抜来候処此度被相止候ニ付右場所代り寄合惣抜所之内へ壱人ツヽ向後抜順
を以御抜し被下置旨被仰出候依之御水主頭へ右之趣可申達旨狛大学方被申聞候ニ付御水主頭へ令通達候
一享保十一午正月廿二日屋敷奉行組斉藤与五兵衛儀御土蔵下番へ御抜し之儀一旦申渡候得共屋敷御用呑込居候◦其上身軽キ者ニ付抜口之儀向後不

一同年四月廿九日御持筒足軽口留抜口順番之者三十年以上之者吟味申付勿論先々之通勤年偽不申上之旨
追而誓紙可被仰付候間其段相心得候様組月番へ申付候先格之通小頭共見立相止年数次第之列ニ帳面相認候

有之先格令吟味候得共武役不勤者之御入人口留所へ抜候儀無之今度初而之儀ニ付同役相談之処御入人
ニ而御先筒相勤候者前之勤年数ニ入候ニ付とかく武役之不及吟味御入人之儀ニ候ヘハ御草り取之勤も数ニ入筈
ニ相極右又市も年数ニ入候事

一同十八丑八月廿五日御目付月番栃屋半右衛門組武曽庄左衛門与申者吉崎口留御番人ニ御抜被下右申渡之儀半右衛門月番ニ候へ共
自分へ御預之組之者へ申渡候事如何ニ付先例令吟味候処例も有之候ニ付猶又御家老中へ相伺候上半右衛門方ニ而申渡之
現代語訳
一、享保二年（酉年）八月十三日、御土蔵下番森源介が病死した。その代理として浅見徳右衛門組の永井茂左衛門という者が抜擢候補であるという件を翌十四日に上申したところ、抜擢候補者を入れるよう仰せ付けられた。そのため徳右衛門方へ申し越し、茂左衛門を呼び寄せて御土蔵下番に御抜擢くださる旨、並びに御擬作御土蔵下番並みに仰せ付けられる旨を徳右衛門宅で申し渡し、組の者を差し添えて本多民部屋敷へ差し越し、与力の者どもへ引き渡した。
ただし右の源介の件を申し上げた際、御持筒抜擢候補順番を以前より吟味していた者どもが段々抜擢されて今一人となった。これにより当六月、年数三十年より二十年までを吟味した書付を御覧に入れたところ、また探源寺様御代の抜擢順番の内から見立順番と申す年数の抜擢ではないが、年寄りで身体の悪しき者は年数前後の構いなく抜擢へ差し越した。今度も見立順番を吟味すべきかと相伺いしたところ、なるほど見立順番も吟味すべき旨が仰せ付けられた。
【朱書】―御目付支配之部御土蔵番の所と見合わせること
一、天明八年（申年）八月二十一日、先達て御持筒組小頭どもの抜擢所である御金土蔵下番の者を御趣意により六人の処を五人に減員するよう仰せ付けられたが、この度思し召しをもって塩硝蔵番三人、毛屋繰舟番二人は向後御持筒組小頭どもの抜擢所に下し置かれ、御擬作の件は右両所ともに七石二人扶持を下し置かれる。
ただし塩硝蔵番三人はこれまで寄合抜きの場所であったが、向後は御持筒組小頭どもの抜擢所に決まった。かつまた毛屋繰舟番二人はこれまで御水主組の者が抜擢されてきたが、これまた御持筒小頭どもの抜擢所に決まった。
一、支配の件は、塩硝蔵番三人は稲葉采女支配、毛屋繰舟番二人は御目付ども支配に仰せ付けられた。
右により毛屋繰舟番二人はこれまで御水主組の者が年数をもって抜擢されてきたが、この度相止められたため、右の場所の代わりに寄合惣抜擢所の内へ一人ずつ向後抜擢順をもって御抜擢下し置かれる旨仰せ出された。これにより御水主頭へ右の趣旨を申し達すべき旨を狛大学方が申し聞かせたため、御水主頭へ通達した。
一、享保十一年（午年）正月二十二日、屋敷奉行組斉藤与五兵衛の件で御土蔵下番へ御抜擢の件を一旦申し渡したが、屋敷御用を呑み込んでいる、その上身軽き者につき抜擢の件を向後取りやめにしてくださるよう市村勘右衛門が相願い、その通り御帳除けして取りやめにした記録がある。
一、同十二年（未年）六月十日、諸口留御番人どもを勘定所へ召し呼び誓紙を申し付けたため、取り扱い記録は諸役誓紙の部に出した。
一、同年四月二十九日、御持筒足軽口留抜擢順番の者で三十年以上の者を吟味申し付け、勿論先々の通り勤年を偽り申し上げないよう、追って誓紙を仰せ付けられるのでその段を心得るよう組月番へ申し付けた。先例の通り小頭どもの見立ては相止め、年数次第の列に帳面を認めた。
○松岡にて御先筒を相勤めた者で御一統後同所御持筒組となった者どもは御先筒の年数を持ち込み御帳に相記す。もっとも御先筒より御入人にて先の年数を引き足した先例がある。
○望月八郎右衛門組《割書：江戸表御持組》辻番より御持組となったため右同事。
○井上半大夫が御目付より御預所方を仰せ付けられた時分、只今までの組六人を半大夫組にすべき旨仰せ付けられた。この者どもも一代切りは抜擢順に入る筈。もっとも半大夫方にて召し抱えた者は以後の■に入らない筈。
○岡半右衛門組平林又市という者は御草り取より御入人にて御持筒組となった。前々武役不勤の者は年数に入らないという沙汰があり、先例を吟味したが、武役不勤の者の御入人で口留所へ抜擢することはなく、今度初めてのことにつき同役相談したところ、御入人にて御先筒を相勤めた者は前の勤め年数に入ることにより、とかく武役の吟味に及ばず御入人のことであれば御草り取の勤めも数に入る筈に決まり、右又市も年数に入ること。
一、同十四年（酉年）二月二十九日、御普請奉行より申し達しがあった。御手木の者が年寄りで御用も勤め難い仕合いとなったので抜擢を仰せ付けてくださるよう。もっとも前々右の趣旨があったが、近年年寄りでそのような願いを申し上げることもなかったため、この度なお又右の段を申し上げ置けば、向後前々の通り抜擢所へ差し越すべきことと成される旨を御家老中が申し聞かせた。
一、同十八年（丑年）八月二十五日、御目付月番栃屋半右衛門組武曽庄左衛門という者を吉崎口留御番人に御抜擢下された。右申し渡しの件で半右衛門が月番であるが、自分へ御預けの組の者へ申し渡すことはいかがにつき、先例を吟味したところ例もあったため、なお又御家老中へ相伺いの上、半右衛門方にて申し渡した。

1. On the 13th day of the 8th month of Kyōhō 2 (1717, year of the rooster), Mori Gensuke, assistant warehouse guard, died of illness. The matter of Nagai Mozaemon from Asami Tokuemon's group being a candidate for promotion to replace him was reported on the following 14th day, whereupon it was ordered that the promotion candidate should be installed. Therefore, notification was sent to Tokuemon, Mozaemon was summoned, and at Tokuemon's residence he was told that he was promoted to assistant warehouse guard and appointed at the same level as other assistant warehouse guards. A group member was assigned to escort him to the Honmura residence where he was handed over to the yoriki officials.
However, when the matter of Gensuke was reported, those who had been under consideration for promotion in the ashigaru gun-bearing unit had been gradually promoted until only one remained. Consequently, in the 6th month of that year, a document examining those with 20 to 30 years of service was submitted for review. Also, regarding the promotion order from Lord Tangen-ji's era, though this was not promotion based on years of service called "midate order," elderly persons in poor health were promoted regardless of their years of service. When inquiring whether midate order should also be examined this time, it was indeed ordered that midate order should also be examined.

1. On the 21st day of the 8th month of Tenmei 8 (1788, year of the monkey), the assistant guards of the gold and earth warehouse, who were promotion positions for ashigaru gun unit squad leaders, were reduced from six to five persons due to cost-cutting measures. However, by his lordship's will, three saltpeter warehouse guards and two boat handlers at the wool house are henceforth designated as promotion positions for ashigaru gun unit squad leaders, and both positions receive a stipend of seven koku and rations for two men.
However, the three saltpeter warehouse guards had previously been positions filled from the general retainer pool, but henceforth they are designated as promotion positions for ashigaru gun unit squad leaders. 1. Regarding supervision: the three saltpeter warehouse guards are placed under Inaba Uneme's supervision, and the two boat handlers are placed under the supervision of the metsuke.
Due to the above, the two boat handler positions had previously been filled by naval unit members based on years of service, but this has now been discontinued. Instead, one person each from the general retainer promotion pool will henceforth be promoted based on promotion order. Accordingly, Koma Daigaku conveyed that this should be communicated to the naval commander, so notification was sent to the naval commander.
1. On the 22nd day of the 1st month of Kyōhō 11 (1726, year of the horse), regarding Saito Yogobei from the estate magistrate group, promotion to assistant warehouse guard was once announced, but since he was well-versed in estate duties and was moreover an agile person, Ichimura Kanemon requested that the promotion be canceled for the future, and accordingly his name was removed from the register and the promotion was canceled.
1. On the 10th day of the 6th month of the same 12th year (1727, year of the sheep), various checkpoint guards were summoned to the accounting office and required to submit written oaths. The handling records are included in the section on oaths for various officials.
1. On the 29th day of the 4th month of the same year, examination was ordered for those in the promotion order for ashigaru gun-bearing unit checkpoint positions with thirty years or more of service, and of course, as before, written oaths would be required not to falsify years of service, so this should be understood. This was ordered to be communicated to the group monthly duty officers. Following precedent, the squad leaders' selections were discontinued and records were kept in order of years of service.
○ Those who served in the advanced gun unit at Matsuoka and later became part of the gun-bearing unit at the same location after unification had their years of service in the advanced gun unit carried over and recorded in the register. There is precedent for adding previous years of service for those who transferred from the advanced gun unit.

○ Hirabayashi Mataichi from Oka Hanemon's group transferred from grass cutting duty to the gun-bearing unit. Previously there was a ruling that those who had not served in military roles would not be counted in years of service, and precedents were examined, but there had been no cases of transferees from non-military service being promoted to checkpoint positions. Since this was the first such case, colleagues were consulted. Since transferees who served in advanced gun units had their previous service years counted, and since this concerned a transferee regardless of military service examination, it was determined that grass cutting service should also be counted, and Mataichi's years were included.
1. On the 29th day of the 2nd month of the same 14th year (1729, year of the rooster), the construction magistrate reported that craftsmen had become elderly and found it difficult to perform their duties, requesting promotion appointments. Although this had been done before, in recent years elderly workers had not made such requests, so upon raising this matter again, the senior councilors conveyed that henceforth they should be sent to promotion positions as before.
1. On the 25th day of the 8th month of the same 18th year (1733, year of the ox), Muso Shozaemon from monthly duty metsuke Tochinooya Hanemon's group was promoted to Yoshizaki checkpoint guard. Regarding announcing this appointment, since Hanemon was on monthly duty but this concerned announcing to someone from his own assigned group, precedents were examined to see if this was appropriate. Since there were precedents, after further consultation with the senior councilors, the announcement was made by Hanemon.
