現代語訳
朝倉義景が江州（近江国）の木本田・神山へ退かれたことは、『浅井記』に記されている通りでございますので、頭書きに特に申し上げることもございません。天正元年（1573年）八月のことです。
浅井長政の居城・小谷山の高所を「大嵩（おおかさ）」と申します。その高所の中にも「焼尾丸（やきおまる）」などと申す場所がございます。その焼尾丸には、浅井方から浅見対馬守という者を入れて置きました。また、大嵩の頂上には、朝倉方から援軍として斎藤刑部・小林六左衛門尉・西方院を籠城させておりました。ところが、浅見対馬守が心変わりして信長公と内通し、敵の勢力を引き込んだため、斎藤刑部・小林六左衛門…

Regarding Asakura Yoshikage's retreat to Kibomota and Kamiyama in Ōmi Province (Gōshū), as it is described in the "Asai-ki" (Chronicles of the Asai clan), there is nothing particular to add in the header notes. This occurred in the eighth month of Tenshō 1 (1573).
The high ground of Odani Castle, the stronghold of Asai Nagamasa, is called "Ōkasa." Among this elevated area there is also a place called "Yakiomaru." In this Yakiomaru, a man called Asami Tsushima-no-kami was stationed by the Asai forces. Furthermore, at the summit of Ōkasa, Saitō Gyōbu, Kobayashi Rokuza'emon-no-jō, and Saihōin were placed by the Asakura clan as reinforcements in garrison. However, Asami Tsushima-no-kami changed his allegiances and secretly communicated with Lord Nobunaga, drawing enemy forces inside, whereupon Saitō Gyōbu and Kobayashi Rokuza'emon…
