（前ページの大條監物殿からの書状への返答として）、その夜のうちに飛脚を仙台へ向かわせた。
三月十二日
亥之助様が御在所より昼の九つ時（正午ごろ）に御到着になり、さっそく草刈三郎左衛門を使者として、書状に基づき「上着いたしました。御指図次第、出向いてご用命を承る所存でございます」と監物殿へお伝えになったところ、監物殿より御上府の件についてお知らせがあり、「存じました。明日四つ時（午前十時ごろ）に登城なさるよう」とのご挨拶があった。

大條監物殿からの手紙の写しは以下の通り。
「（登城するよう申し渡したところ）と申す（者が）控えておりますゆえ、追って指図次第、登城されるよう。以上。

右の書状に対して、相応の返答をすぐにお送りになった。

(In response to the letter from Daijō Kenmotsu on the previous page,) a messenger was dispatched to Sendai that same night.
**12th Day of the 3rd Month**
Inosuke-sama arrived from his domain residence at the Hour of the Sheep (around noon). He immediately sent Kusakari Saburōzaemon as a messenger, relaying the following message to Kenmotsu-dono based on the received letter: "I have arrived. I am ready to appear before you at your instruction and receive your orders." Kenmotsu-dono replied with news regarding the journey to the capital (Edo), saying: "Understood. Please present yourself at the castle tomorrow at the Hour of the Rabbit (around 10 a.m.)."

A copy of the letter from Daijō Kenmotsu-dono is as follows:
"...[There is one] who has been waiting for the order to proceed to the castle. Please await further instructions and proceed to the castle at the appropriate time. That is all.

An appropriate reply to the above letter was promptly sent.
