【開平法之図】
実に積（つもり）を置一十百千。一十百千と云千の位（くらい）初商（しょしゃうナ）￣ニ
八千と立下法にも八千と置是に商を法にて
よふ時。八六京（けい）四兆（てう）と成これを実にて引
実に余（あま）りて一京二兆八億弐万五千弐百廿五坪有
下法の八千を倍＿レ之千六百と成一位さけて置商の
次七を以て下法の次に七立（たつる）商の次の七を以て法にて
下法によぶ一七の七兆。六七の四兆二億。七四億九万実で
除＿レ之 実は余り一兆一億三万五千弐百廿五坪有

実に積（つもり）を置く。一、十、百、千。一、十、百、千という千の位（くらい）初商（しょしょう）に
八千と立て、下法にも八千と置く。これに商を法にて
掛ける時、八×六京（けい）四兆（ちょう）となる。これを実にて引く。
実に余（あま）って一京二兆八億二万五千二百二十五坪有り
下法の八千を倍にして一万六千となる。一位下げて置く。商の
次に七を以て下法の次に七立てる。商の次の七を以て法にて
下法に掛ける。一×七の七兆。六×七の四兆二千億。七×四億九万。実で
これを除く。 実は余り一兆一億三万五千二百二十五坪有り

Place the product (tsumori) in the dividend. Units of one, ten, hundred, thousand. In the thousand place of one, ten, hundred, thousand, the first quotient (shoshō)
establishes 8,000, and also places 8,000 in the lower method. When multiplying the quotient by this method, it becomes 8 × 6 kei 4 chō. This is subtracted from the dividend.
The dividend has a remainder of 1 kei 2 chō 8 oku 2 man 5 sen 2 hyaku 25 tsubo
Double the lower method's 8,000 to make 16,000. Lower it by one place. Using 7 for the next quotient, place 7 next in the lower method. Using 7 from the next quotient position, multiply it by the method
with the lower method. 1×7 equals 7 chō. 6×7 equals 4 chō 2 sen oku. 7×4 oku 9 man. Remove this from the dividend. The dividend has a remainder of 1 chō 1 oku 3 man 5 sen 2 hyaku 25 tsubo
