尽（つく）して治療する医者は希（まれ）なり。病人の大なる
不幸（ぶしあはせ）にして。嘆（たん）ずべきことぞかし。因（ちなみ）に載（の）す。或人
時めく医者に。非消壺（ひけしつぼ）へ炭（すみ）の火を納（いれ）るに。たち
まちに消（きゆ）るはなにがゆへと問（とい）ければ。蓋（ふた）して火気（くわき）
をもらさぬにより消（きゆ）るといひけり。医として

容易（ようい）にあきらめがたき芸（しわざ）なり。しかるを世人は。たゞ
頭（あたま）が丸（まる）く竹篦（ちつへい）を挟（はさ）み。口弁（こうべん）【左ルビ：クチリコウ】よく阿順（あじゆん）【左ルビ：ヘツラヒ】なる者を。
良拙（じやうずへた）のわきまへもなく用（もちひ）るにより。形容（なりかたち）さへ
医体（いてい）をそなへて。人の気に入やうにすれば。今日を
おくるに渡世（とせい）ができるゆへに。家産（すぎわい）を破（やぶ）りし者。

尽力して治療する医者は稀である。病人にとって大きな
不幸であり、嘆かわしいことである。ついでに記す。ある人が
時勢に乗った医者に、火消し壺に炭火を入れると
