茶山（ささん）先生（せんせい）篤行（とくこう）の耆（き）【蓍は誤記】老（ろう）【注】その詩聖（しせい）と称（しやう）せられし
は世（よ）の知（し）る所（ところ）なり此書（このしよ）は詩歌（しか）文 雅（が）の上（うへ）のみなら
ず雅事（がじ）と俗事（ぞくじ）と両途（ふたつ）ならざる心得（こゝろえ）より毒井（どくせい）
盗難（たうなん）を避（さ）け防（ふせ）ぐ要慎（えうしん）すべて人家（じんか）必用（ひつよう）の雑事（さつじ）
経史（けいし）を議論（ぎろん）せし正説（せいせつ）また閭巷（りよこう）の奇話（きわ）怪談（くはいだん）の
如（ごと）きもその実（じつ）を録（しる）し烈士（れつし）奇人（きじん）の行状（ぎやうぢやう）なんど
種々（くさ〴〵）の佳話（かわ）多（おほ）かれども浮（うき）たる事（こと）なくして見（み）る人（ひと）に

病気よりも恐ろしいものは医者であることを、若い人の
心得として書き記す。この他に、幼児の育児の
方法について、書き記したいこともあるが、老いによる気力の
衰えで、筆を止めるという。

茶山先生は篤行の高齢者で、その詩聖と称されたこと
は世の知るところである。この書は詩歌文雅の上のみなら
ず、雅事と俗事とが別々でないという心得から、毒井や
盗難を避け防ぐ要注意すべき、すべて人家必要の雑事、
経史を議論した正説、また街の奇話怪談の
ようなものもその実を記録し、烈士奇人の行状など
種々の佳話が多いけれども、浮ついたことはなくして見る人に
役立つようにしている
