将軍宣下の御祝儀のため御能が御奥で行われ、
その諸事の御用を仰せ付けられたので、御帷子一重長、

Lady Shinsho-in fell seriously ill with smallpox, and as her condition was very grave,
the council of senior retainers ordered him to go up to Edo to inquire about her condition.
He departed on the 27th of the same month, arrived on the 2nd day of the 1st month of the following Ushi year, and departed on the 6th day to return home
