右の通り、北御番所にてお申し渡しがあったので、諸商人・職人・内雇いの者に至るまで、確実に行き届くよう、漏れなく申し渡すこと。行き届いたことを、町々の行事（役人）より本日中にその旨申し出ること。以上。
十月六日
一、この度の地震により、御城内において破損箇所が数ヶ所生じた。しかし、世上一般に材木その他が不足していることを御考慮の上、締め付けが必要な場所以外はそのままにしておくようお申し渡しがあった。各々の屋敷もその心得をもって、真に必要な箇所のみを、格別に手軽な普請（工事）にて行うようにすること。
右の通り、武家方へお書き付けが出されたので、町々については、見苦しくとも差し支えない（そのままでよい）。

As stated above, since these instructions have been issued at the Northern Magistrate's Office, they are to be conveyed thoroughly and without omission to all merchants, artisans, and hired workers. The town officials (gyōji) are to report by the end of today that the instructions have been duly communicated. The above is hereby stated.

Item: Due to this earthquake, damage has occurred at several locations within the Castle grounds. However, taking into consideration the general shortage of timber and other materials throughout the city, it has been ordered that, except for areas requiring essential repairs, all other damage is to be left as is. Each residence should act accordingly and carry out only the most necessary repairs, done in an especially simple and economical manner.
As the above directive has been issued to the samurai households, the towns need not concern themselves with unsightly damage — it is permissible to leave things as they are.
