右の村々の耕地等が床（地盤）ごとひっくり返り、山の峰が崩れ、さらに犀川の湛水（洪水）が流入し、かつその湛水が堤を押し破って大石が耕地に押し出すなどした荒廃地の村高は、おおよそ以下の通りである。
一、（荒廃地の）高：七万千六百四十五石余
但し、永荒（永久的な荒廃地）となる見込みの所も多く見受けられます。
一、圧死・流死：二千六百八十五人、内訳：男 千二百二十八人、女 千四百十七人、外に六人流失
一、百九十五人が山の峰の土中に埋まり、死骸が見当たらない。
一、女子三百四十五人・男子百二十七人が圧死、二百二人が山の峰の土中に埋まり死骸が見当たらない、十六人が流死。
一、社人（神社の神職）二人圧死、僧十人圧死、内一人は山の峰の土中に埋まり死骸が見当たらない。
一、男の怪我人：二千二百六十二人、内千十一人のうち十人は、今後農業・生業を営むことが困難な状態である。

右の通りでございます。なお、地震については御城内すべてにわたり（被害があり）、居家・土蔵・物置に至るまで小破のない箇所はまったくございません。御損毛（被害状況）の件については、御収納（年貢収納）の後に（詳細を）御上申し上げるべき旨、御用番様へご届けになりました。右の事をご通知するため、御使者をもってお送り申し上げます。

One: Sections where disaster-prevention revetments (saigainaijo), bank enclosures (kishigakoi), and water deflectors (mizuhane) were lost by flooding: 477 locations.
One: Length of stone frames (ishiwaku) and gassho-style frames (gasshōwaku) lost: approximately 2,900 ken.
One: Locations where irrigation bridge openings (yōsuibashiguchi), sluice gates (suimon), and bottom conduits (sokohi) were destroyed by earthquake, severely damaged, or lost: 24 locations.
One: Boats (large and small) damaged or lost: 25 vessels.
One: Driftwood: more than 38,500 logs.
Regarding the villages listed above, the arable land and other areas were overturned at their foundations, mountain ridges collapsed, and floodwaters from the Sai River (犀川) inundated the area; furthermore, these floodwaters broke through embankments, pushing large boulders onto farmland and causing widespread devastation. The assessed rice yield (mura-daka) of the devastated village lands is approximately as follows:

Note: It appears that many areas are likely to become permanently barren (eiaré).
One: Deaths by crushing and drowning: 2,685 persons; breakdown: males 1,228, females 1,417; additionally 6 persons missing (washed away).
One: 195 persons were buried under soil from mountain ridge collapses, and their bodies have not been found.
One: 345 females and 127 males died by crushing; 202 persons were buried in the soil of collapsed mountain ridges and their bodies have not been found; 16 persons drowned.
One: 2 shrine priests (shanin) died by crushing; 10 Buddhist monks died by crushing, of whom 1 was buried in the soil of a collapsed mountain ridge and the body has not been found.
One: Injured males: 2,262 persons; of these, among 1,011 persons, 10 are in a condition that makes it difficult to continue farming or their livelihoods in the future.
One: Deaths by crushing among eta (a social outcast group): 78 persons; of these, 43 males died by crushing, of whom 27 were buried in the soil of collapsed mountain ridges and their bodies have not been found.
One: 35 eta females died by crushing; of these, 20 were buried in the soil of collapsed mountain ridges and their bodies have not been found.
One: Livestock (cattle and horses) that perished: 267 animals; of these, 4 cattle, 263 horses; of these, 36 animals were buried in the soil of collapsed mountain ridges and their bodies were not found.
The above is as reported. Regarding the earthquake, the damage extended throughout the castle grounds without exception, and there is not a single residence, storehouse, or storage building that escaped even minor damage. Regarding the matter of damage assessment (onsomō), it was duly reported to the御用番 (goyōban, the duty official) that details would be submitted after the rice tax collection (onshuunō). This notice is hereby conveyed via a special messenger.
