伊賀守の領分である信濃国において、先月二十四日夜の地震につきましては、先にご報告申し上げた通りでございます。その際、犀川の上流にて大きな山が崩れ落ち、川筋が押し埋められたことにより、次第に数十丈もの水が溜まっておりましたところ、去る十三日の夕方七つ時（午後四時）頃、一時に川中島一帯に水が押し流れ、更級郡のうち今里村・氷施村の田畑および民家が押し流され、または押し潰されました。先年お達しがありました件につきまして……（以下続く）

As previously reported, in my domain of Matsumoto, Chikuma District, and Azumi District in Shinano Province, from around the Hour of the Boar (approximately 10 PM) on the night of the 24th day of the 3rd month, there was a severe earthquake, followed by repeated tremors thereafter. The damage is as follows:
- Various parts of the castle grounds outside the main fortifications, including residences and fallen walls
- Walls fallen at samurai residences and storehouses (dozō)
- Two completely collapsed storehouses in the castle town
- Two half-collapsed storehouses in the castle town
- Two completely collapsed storage sheds
- Agricultural land equivalent to over 579 koku rendered wasteland
- Ground fissures: 89 locations (total length: 6,445 ken)
- Road damage: 137 locations (total length: 30,233 ken)
- Landslides: 1,477 locations
- Locations where valley water was dammed up by landslides, creating pools: 41 locations
- Fallen trees: 28,408
- Irrigation channel collapses: 71 locations (total length: 900 ken)
- Houses flooded due to the damming of the Sai River: 28 households
- Completely collapsed houses in rural areas: 396 households
- Half-collapsed houses in rural areas: 761 households

Regarding the earthquake in Iga-no-kami's domain of Shinano Province on the night of the 24th day of last month, as previously reported: at that time, a large mountain collapsed at the upper reaches of the Sai River, blocking the river channel, causing water to accumulate to a depth of several tens of jō. Then, on the evening of the 13th, around the Hour of the Monkey (approximately 4 PM), the water suddenly burst through all at once, flooding the entire Kawanakajima area.
