現代語訳
送り物だけを遣わした。水心庵へは例の通り白米一升と焼豆腐十個を送った。藤屋嘉兵衛へは割袋を遣わした○今日、水心庵の故人である芬経縣主並びに周子などの七七日（四十九日）の弔料として白米三升五合ずつ合計七升、その他に両人分の卒都婆料として鳥目二百文を遣わした。ただし各々先例の通りである

英語訳
Only gifts were sent. To Suishinin, as usual, one shō of white rice and ten pieces of grilled tofu were sent. To Fujiya Kahē, a divided bag was given. ○ Today, for the 49th day memorial service for the deceased Bunkei Agatanushi of Suishinin and Shūshi, three shō and five gō of white rice each (totaling seven shō) were given as memorial offerings, and additionally 200 mon for memorial tablets for both persons were sent. However, each followed previous precedent.
7th day, Kinoto-mi: Clear. The 49th day (jinshichi-nichi). Shūshi's 28th day (yonshichi-nichi). Mother, Kyōsen, and Yasuko visited the grave.
8th day, Hinoe-uma: Clear. The 50th day. As in previous years, Mother, Kyōsen, and Yasuko completed grave visits to all ancestors in Kotani, Kawara, and other places from before dawn.
9th day, Hinoto-hitsuji: Clear. Today being the end of mourning, I bathed early in the morning, arranged my hair, wore hemp formal dress, and attended service at the family residence. However, I had previously inquired about attending through correspondence and attended after receiving permission to do as I wished. I paid respects to His Lordship and both palaces, inquired about their well-being, then withdrew and visited various places in Kyoto to offer greetings, wearing hemp formal dress. ○ For the end of mourning, letters of greeting were sent to various places in the domain, approximately eighty households or more. The messenger was Ishimatsu.
10th day, Tsuchinoe-saru: Clear. From today, I attended palace duty service and visited various places in Kyoto for greetings on my return.
11th day, Tsuchinoto-tori: Clear. I withdrew from the family residence and made courtesy calls at various places for greetings on my return.
12th day, Kanoe-inu: Clear. At half past the hour of the Monkey, there was an evening shower with heavy rain. Due to preparations for the seasonal palace cleaning, I worked from early morning and stayed overnight at my lodging.
13th day, Kanoto-i: Clear. The seasonal payment amounted to 753 monme each.
14th day, Mizunoe-ne: Cloudy. Shūshi's 35th day (goshichi-nichi). Mother, Yasuko, and others visited the grave.
15th day, Mizunoto-ushi: Rain, then stopped. I offered congratulatory words for Chūgen to the family residence.
18th day, Hinoe-tatsu: Clear. Tomorrow, the 19th, being father's death anniversary, Kyōsen was instructed to visit the grave.
21st day, Tsuchinoto-hitsuji: Clear. Evening shower at the hour of the Monkey. Shūshi's 42nd day (rokushichi-nichi). Yasuko visited the grave.
28th day, Hinoe-tora: Clear. Shūshi's 49th day (jinshichi-nichi). Mother graciously visited the grave.
