解行（葬儀執行）は誠に気の毒千万で言葉に尽くせないものである。
二十六日壬辰晴 朝飯後より逞清方へ参り諸事世話をした。幸子は今晩酉刻に葬送である。行列以下は御先規（先例）によるため省略する。予は御家門へ仮服届の件について今朝保誠を以て手紙を差し出した。もっとも定式の通り仮二十日服九十日である。下橋左門・岡崎帯刀両名宛てに遣わした。夕刻、麻の上下に挑灯を持参し、幸子出棺前に各々焼香を行った。葬送の際、列外に経董・経威・経千・清嗣・規清・保歳・根清等が供をして見送った。保歳以外は各々墓所まで参り、戌刻頃に相済んで帰宅した。もっとも下男亀四郎は今日早朝より遣わしている。
二十七日癸巳晴 午後、姑幸子並びに亡父県主等への墓参を行った。○逞清方へ昨日の挨拶かつ見舞いを兼ねて参った。
二十八日甲午晴 浦野東安より去る二十三日に養父玄以が死去した旨、同二十五日に知らせ申し来るにつき、今日書面にて弔慰を申し遣わした。
晦日丙申晴 当冬臨時御祭の御下行（下賜）米代銀四十九匁六分五厘が今日若役成基より到来した。服中殊に有難く頂戴するものである。

六日壬寅晴 経紀・経寛・経啓等の廰飯揚げの件は例の如し。但し保歳分は経威が仮中につき当方より一緒に揚げた。
七日癸卯晴 廰飯は昨日の如くである。
十五日辛亥晴 入夜雨降る。冬至である。○忌明けにつき早朝浴水して御家門江出仕した。もっとも例の如く先刻書面を以て出仕を相窺った。麻上下を着用している。
二十五日辛酉晴 臨時御祭である。勅使が下向され御参向が例の如くあったとのこと。
二十六日壬戌晴 御家門大政所御方の御六十一御賀宴につき御祝義のため同列に金百疋ずつ下賜され、且つ御能が仰せ付けられ、御囃子二番・御能五番があった。御内一統服紗（着用）。

26th day, Mizunoe-Tatsu, clear: After breakfast I went to Teisei's house to help with various arrangements. Sachiko's funeral procession will be at the hour of the cock (6 PM) this evening. The procession details are omitted as they follow established precedent. I sent a letter through Hojō regarding the temporary mourning clothes notification to the imperial family this morning. This follows the standard format of temporary twenty-day mourning and ninety-day mourning period. It was sent addressed to both Shimohashi Samon and Okazaki Taitō. In the evening, wearing hemp formal wear and carrying lanterns, we performed incense burning before Sachiko's coffin departure. During the funeral procession, Kyōdō, Kyōi, Kyōsen, Kiyotsugu, Norikyō, Yasutoshi, Nekyō and others accompanied the procession from outside the formal line. Everyone except Yasutoshi went to the gravesite, concluding around the hour of the dog before returning home. The manservant Kameshirō was sent out from early morning today.
27th day, Mizunoto-Mi, clear: In the afternoon, I visited the graves of mother-in-law Sachiko and my late father, the county magistrate. ○ I also went to Teisei's house to offer yesterday's greetings and condolences.
28th day, Kinoe-Uma, clear: Urano Tōan sent word that his adoptive father Gen'i had died on the 23rd, with notification arriving on the 25th, so today I sent written condolences.
Last day, Hinoe-Saru, clear: This winter's special festival rice allowance of 49 monme, 6 bu, 5 rin in silver arrived today from junior official Nariki. I am especially grateful to receive this during my mourning period.

6th day, Mizunoe-Tora, clear: The matter of Kyōki, Kyōkan, Kyōkei and others' office meal contributions proceeded as usual. However, Yasutoshi's portion was contributed together with ours since Kyōi is in temporary mourning.
7th day, Mizunoto-U, clear: Office meals were as yesterday.
15th day, Kanoto-I, clear: Rain fell after nightfall. Winter solstice. ○ Due to the end of mourning period, I performed ritual bathing early in the morning and reported for service at the imperial family residence. As usual, I first submitted a written request to serve. I wore hemp formal attire.
25th day, Kanoto-Tori, clear: Special festival day. An imperial messenger was dispatched and the imperial visit proceeded as usual.
26th day, Mizunoe-Inu, clear: For the 61st birthday celebration of the Ōmandokoro of the imperial family, each person of the same rank was given one hundred hiki of gold as congratulatory gifts, and Noh performances were ordered, with two musical accompaniment pieces and five Noh plays performed. All interior staff wore silk gauze.
