舟屋田経千分榊ケ本等之田地渇水ニ付植付不成之旨被申達也
五日乙卯曇小雨社中祈雨御祈祷中日也〇此比旱魃ニ付上七社祈雨
御祈祷之儀今日より七ヶ日之間修行被 仰出之旨傳奏より被申
渡之趣手触有之也
六日丙辰曇小雨風烈御家門金壱両掛之御講今日於三本附當屋
有之御用人坂本民部御勘定役織部川瀬主税等出役也但午
後行向也初更帰宅了
八日戊午晴禁廷より被仰出祈両御祈祷今日中日也本宮家父
氏神社経于等参勤巡番也両社共家父令参勤了

現代語訳
二十日辛丑晴れ、夜に入って剛雨。今日権祝松下威久が辞職して去った。年三十三歳。よって権祝の職が空席となった。
二十一日壬寅雨、夜に入って大風が吹いた。
二十二日癸卯晴れ。御厨子所高橋若狭守宗芳より、子息宗愛の初官位正六位下采女正の宣下につき、祝義として赤飯一箱、延紙十束等が到来した。
二十四日乙巳晴れ。御厨子所へ子息の初官位を祝して御酒一樽三升を送った。
二十八日己酉晴れ。家父の当番を逞清へ代勤を相頼んだ。

三日癸丑晴れ。去月以来の旱魃につき、昨日二日より七ヶ日の間、社中一統で祈雨の御祈祷である。これにより今日家父・経千等が祈雨のため参社した次第は常の如くである。○小山年番中より家父・健千等が招かれ、午後家父が罷り出たところ、家父分の舟屋田、経千分の榊ヶ本等の田地が渇水のため植え付けができない旨を申し達てられた。
五日乙卯曇り小雨。社中祈雨御祈祷の中日である。○この頃の旱魃につき、上七社祈雨御祈祷の儀を今日より七ヶ日の間修行するよう仰せ出された旨を、伝奏より申し渡された趣の手触れがあった。
六日丙辰曇り小雨風烈し。御家門金一両掛けの御講が今日三本付当屋において有り、御用人坂本民部・御勘定役織部・川瀬主税等が出役した。ただし午後に行き向かった。初更に帰宅した。
八日戊午晴れ。禁廷より仰せ出された祈雨御祈祷の今日は中日である。本宮は家父、氏神社は経千等が参勤して巡番である。両社とも家父が参勤した。
九日己未晴れ。禁中より仰せ出された御祈祷中につき、早朝に参社した。
十日庚申晴れ未刻夕立。御家門調達録御講が今日三本掛け奥において

20th day, Kanoto-Ushi, clear, heavy rain in the evening. Today Assistant Priest Matsushita Takehisa resigned and departed. Age thirty-three. Therefore the position of Assistant Priest became vacant.
21st day, Mizuno-e-Tora, rain, strong winds blew in the evening.
22nd day, Mizuno-to-U, clear. From Mikuridokoro Takahashi Wakasa-no-kami Muneyoshi, regarding his son Munenaru's first court rank of Junior Sixth Rank Lower and appointment as Uneme-no-kami, red rice in one box, ten bundles of paper, etc. arrived as congratulatory gifts.
24th day, Kinoto-Mi, clear. To Mikuridokoro, one cask of three shō of sake was sent to celebrate his son's first court rank.
28th day, Tsuchi-no-to-Tori, clear. Requested Teikiyo to substitute for father's duty shift.
6th Month, Long Month
3rd day, Mizuno-to-Ushi, clear. Due to the drought continuing since last month, from yesterday the 2nd for seven days, the entire shrine community is conducting rain prayers. Accordingly, today father and Kyōsen participated in the shrine visit for rain prayers as usual. ○Father and Kenchi were summoned by the Koyama yearly administrator, and when father went out in the afternoon, he was told that the rice fields of father's portion at Funayada and Kyōsen's portion at Sakakigamoto could not be planted due to drought.
5th day, Kinoto-U, cloudy with light rain. This is the middle day of the shrine community's rain prayer rituals. ○Due to the recent drought, word was received from the court nobles that the rain prayer rituals at the Seven Upper Shrines should be performed for seven days starting today, as ordered by imperial decree.
6th day, Hinoe-Tatsu, cloudy with light rain and strong winds. The domain's one ryō gold lecture meeting was held today at Sanbon-tsuke inn, with Domain Administrator Sakamoto Minbu, Accounting Officer Oribe, and Kawase Chikara in attendance. However, they went in the afternoon. Returned home at the first watch.
8th day, Tsuchi-no-e-Uma, clear. Today is the middle day of the rain prayer rituals ordered by the Imperial Court. For the main shrine father attended, and for the clan shrine Kyōsen and others attended for patrol duty. Father attended both shrines.
9th day, Tsuchi-no-to-Mi, clear. Due to the ongoing prayer rituals ordered by the Imperial Palace, visited the shrine early in the morning.
10th day, Kanoe-Saru, clear with evening shower at the Hour of the Sheep. The domain's procurement record lecture meeting today at Sanbon-gake oku...
