引き続き奥向きより大政所の方が参上され御対面、拝領物を仰せ付けられ、申の刻に退下した。それから経千を同伴して施薬院へ参り、次に堀川江州方へ参って当候の祝酒・飯等が出された。夕刻に両児を召し連れて御尾次兵衛方へ参り祝酒が出されたが、次郎は下坂留主中である。同所において祭礼を拝見し終えて、また堀川方へ立ち寄り、程なく帰宅した。戌の刻過ぎの帰路に少し雨が降った。
二十一日庚午晴れ。昼飯後、神楽講八会目の勘定が評議所であり、参集して申の刻に済ませ退下した。○今晩は成宮の御葬送である。
二十四日癸酉雨。昼飯後、総老若三手の打ち込み参会があった。評議により、当年の旱魃につき去る文政六未年の通り一統倹約すべき旨評決されたという。○昨今例年の如く社中宗旨改めがあった。○家父が当番で逞清へ頼んだ。
二十五日甲戌晴れ。朝飯後、経益亭において三手講の支度調べがあり参加した。氏彦は不参であったが、来月三日に催される六会目である。○家父が往来田六反の田下の吉兵衛より当年旱損につき田地見分の件で願書があり、家父は亀四郎並びに相給季龍被官等を召し連れて行き向かった。田地四分、畑残り六分三分五厘と治定された。昼後、下作人が伺い出て四分に申し渡したところ、応対の上三分五厘半で済ませた。○芝田楽料田地について、神殿が当年旱損につき作人下り安蔵が願い出て相尋ねたところ、皆無の由。昨日即刻家父が社中へ参られ、右芝田楽料田地が当年日損につき下役人より願い出があったので、御見分の件を仰せ付け下さるよう、会所の経益まで届け置かれた。

Continuing from the inner quarters, the Ōmandokoro came to pay respects and had an audience, with gifts bestowed, retiring at the Hour of the Monkey. Then, accompanied by Kyōsen, I visited the Seyaku-in, and next went to the Horikawa Gōshū residence where celebratory sake and rice were served. In the evening, I took both children to visit Lord Otsugijibei's residence where celebratory sake was served, though Jirō was away on business in Shimosakka. At the same place, I observed the festival ritual, then stopped by the Horikawa residence again before returning home shortly after. On the way home past the Hour of the Dog, it rained lightly.
21st day, Kanoe-Uma, clear. After lunch, there was an accounting for the eighth session of the kagura lecture at the council hall. I attended and it concluded at the Hour of the Monkey before withdrawing. ○Tonight is Prince Naru's funeral procession.
24th day, Mizunoto-Tori, rain. After lunch, there was a joint meeting of the three groups: senior elders, young officials, and guards. In deliberation, it was decided that due to this year's drought, unified austerity measures should be implemented as in the sixth year of Bunsei (1823). ○As in recent years, there was the customary religious sect inspection of the shrine community. ○Father was on duty and made arrangements with Teikiyo.
25th day, Kinoe-Inu, clear. After breakfast, there was a preparation review for the three-group lecture at Kyōeki-tei, which I attended. Ujihiko did not attend, but the sixth session is to be held on the 3rd of next month. ○Father received a petition from Kichibei regarding drought damage assessment for six tan of roadside rice fields. Father took Kameshirō and retainer Suekiyo Kiryū and went to inspect. The rice fields were assessed at 40%, with the remaining dry fields at 60% and 35%. In the afternoon, the tenant farmer came to inquire, and when told it was 40%, after discussion it was settled at 35%. ○Regarding the Shibata music fee rice fields, tenant Yasuzo petitioned about drought damage this year, but upon inquiry it was reported as a complete loss. In the afternoon, I took Yasuko to visit the grave. ○The sarugaku performer Kawakatsu Gonnoshin made several offerings of musical accompaniment and kyōgen performances at the administrative building today. ○It was my turn for daily worship at Kibune, so I arranged for Teikiyo to serve as proxy.
