了但同苗備前守父子連名ニ而遣之也

別當充依之早朝神酒献進如例也但當年旱魃ニ付従當戌九月
利翌亥八月社中一統之倹約被相触依之家子役之義も下行米夫
々減方有之去ル未年倹約之旨ニ被准今朝鬮之仕様精進頭人并
故障之外者取過之無差別被相突今年充字子来年取過

家父が参集したが予は不参。但し近年一家の銀子が払底したため、膳部・肴向きは当年より省略することとなった。

二十六日乙未晴れ。御家門大御所へ今日仙洞御所より和歌一字の御伝授がなされ、辰の刻に御参、御板輿である。御辛櫃を受け、六位侍元明が付き添って参り、一統恐悦申し上げ御祝酒を下された。
二十七日丙午晴れ。社頭当番、逞清方へ代勤を相頼んだ。
二十九日戊申晴れ。御家門若御所の御除服後御着陣があり、巳の刻晴天にて御参。前駆大夫三人、衛府、土長、近衛四人、雑色六人、その余は例の如し。還御は午の刻である。○御家門の諸大夫入江阿波守方では、昨夜医師典薬寮麻生道斎の娘の婚礼が整い滞りなく済んだため、祝いとして銘酒二斤、和紙三束、堅又を添えて送った。また同じく諸大夫難波伊予守方へは、泉州堺の郷士辻正親の娘との婚儀が整い、これもまた昨夜滞りなく済んだため、祝いとして酒三升、和紙二束、竪文を添えて送った。但し同苗備前守父子連名にて遣わした。

22nd day, Kanoto-Ushi, clear. My father was on duty, and Kyōsen attended court service as substitute. However, from this ninth month onwards, pottery offerings are omitted due to general austerity measures.
26th day, Kinoto-Hitsuji, clear. Today the Imperial House's Daigosho received transmission of a single character of waka poetry from Sentō Imperial Palace. At the Hour of the Dragon there was an imperial visit by palanquin. The ceremonial lunch box was received, with sixth-rank retainer Genmei accompanying, and everyone expressed reverence and received celebratory sake.
27th day, Hinoe-Uma, clear. For shrine duty, I requested Teisei to serve as substitute.
29th day, Tsuchinoe-Saru, clear. After the end of the mourning period for the Imperial House's Wakagosho, there was an imperial procession. At the Hour of the Snake in clear weather there was an imperial visit. The advance party consisted of three court nobles, guards, palace guards, four imperial guards, six menials, with the rest as usual. The return was at the Hour of the Horse. ○For the Imperial House retainer Irie Awa-no-kami, the wedding of physician Asō Dōsai's daughter from the Imperial Medicine Bureau was successfully completed last night without incident, so as celebration I sent two kin of fine sake, three bundles of Japanese paper, and katamata. Also for retainer Namba Iyo-no-kami, the wedding with the daughter of Tsuji Masachika, a rural samurai from Sakai in Izumi Province, was also completed successfully last night, so as celebration I sent three shō of sake, two bundles of Japanese paper, and tatebumi. However, these were sent under the joint names of father and son Bizen-no-kami of the same family name.
October, short month
1st day, Tsuchinoto-Tori, clear. This morning at the council hall, the annual lottery for family retainer duties was held as usual, and Kyōsen was appointed as storehouse administrator, so sacred sake was offered early in the morning as customary. However, due to this year's drought, austerity measures for the entire shrine community were announced from this ninth month of Tsuchinoe-Inu year through the eighth month of next Tsuchinoto-I year. Accordingly, there are reductions in the rice stipends for family retainer duties, following the precedent of the austerity measures from the previous Hitsuji year. This morning's lottery procedures and purification leaders, except for those with legitimate excuses, were announced without exception or discrimination, and those appointed this year will be exempted next year.
