示し置いて帰宅した。
十一日乙酉晴れ 月次御祈祷を家父が直参勤した。○社中の依松が罷り出たところ、十日講が来る九月満了につき再会が催され、加入をお頼みしたいとのことであった。一枚お請けして帰宅した。
十二日丙戌晴れ 瀬尾故入道喜砕の今日酉刻の葬送である。これにつき弔悔のため申刻頃に家父と予の両人で御酒一樽五升口の伏書を添えて持参させ、酉前刻の葬式見送りのため両人の代理として侍一人（但し視覚）、仲間来沢当たりに居る供一人石松に箱施行を持参させた。宅では酒飯が出された。もっとも葬式は観恩寺において寺中より方丈までの行列であった。当方名代の者は行列に別々に加わり焼香し、初戌刻に相済んで帰宅した。
十八日壬辰晴れ 瀬尻次兵衛方へ見舞いのため湯波十五を送った。
二十九日癸卯晴れ 未刻まで雷鳴があった。今夕夏越枝の御神事を例年通り行った。また昨夜より御戸代会の猿楽を例年通り川勝大夫初めで行った。

朔日甲寅晴れ 猿楽を昨日のごとく七番行った。
二日乙巳晴れ 北尾清助の狂言奉納があった。
六日己酉晴れ 家父が当番直参を行った。未半刻に小さな雷鳴があった。
七日庚戌晴れ 佳節を例年通り行った。
八日辛亥小雨後晴れとなる 例年通り早朝に母堂の墓参をされた。
九日壬子時々晴れ 経千の社頭当番を家父が代勤された。
十四日丁巳晴れ 予は御家門にて両親持ちにつき例年通り合中の御礼詞を申し上げた。○美知、枝健、若等の中元回礼を例年通り行ったが、叔千代、三於太郎等は歓楽につき不参であった。○当季払い高締めて六百三十二匁八分七厘である。
十五日戊午晴れ 久々に不参だったので早朝に中元のため参拝した。次に在所中を例年通り行った。

12th day, Hinoe-Inu, clear - The funeral of the late lay monk Seo Kisai was held today at the Hour of the Rooster. For condolences, around the Hour of the Monkey, my father and I had one cask of sake (5-shō size) with accompanying documents delivered. For the funeral procession before the Hour of the Rooster, we sent one samurai as representative for both of us (with note: but visual), and one attendant Ishimatsu from our group at Kizawa's place, carrying ceremonial offering boxes. Food and drink were served at the house. The funeral was held at Kan'on-ji temple, with a procession from the temple quarters to the abbot's hall. Our representatives joined the procession separately, offered incense, and returned home when it concluded at the first Hour of the Dog.
18th day, Mizunoe-Tatsu, clear - Sent fifteen pieces of yuba as a sympathy gift to Seo Jibei's household.
29th day, Mizunoto-U, clear - Thunder until the Hour of the Sheep. This evening held the summer purification ritual as usual. Also, from last night, held the Otoshiro-e Noh performance as usual, beginning with Kawakatsu Dayū.

1st day, Kinoe-Tora, clear - Performed Noh as yesterday, seven pieces.
2nd day, Kinoto-Mi, clear - Kitao Seisuke performed kyōgen dedication.
6th day, Tsuchinoto-Tori, clear - My father performed direct attendance duty. Small thunder at half past the Hour of the Sheep.
7th day, Kanoe-Inu, clear - Observed the festival day as usual.
8th day, Kanoto-I, light rain then clear - As usual, paid respects at mother's grave in early morning.
9th day, Mizunoe-Ne, intermittently clear - My father served as substitute for Tsunehitsu's shrine duty.
14th day, Hinoto-Mi, clear - Since I have both parents living at the shogun's residence, I offered the customary mid-year gratitude words to the group as usual. ○ Conducted mid-year courtesy visits with Michi, Edaken, Waka and others as usual, but Uncle Chiyo, San'otarō and others did not attend due to entertainment obligations. ○ This season's total expenses were 632 monme, 8 bu, 7 rin.
15th day, Tsuchinoe-Uma, clear - Since I had been absent for a long time, I made an early morning visit for mid-year observances. Then conducted the usual rounds in the local area.
