廿七日庚午晴未刻斗哉御家門御庭之井戸へ岡崎村百姓年寄
久右衛門《割書：六十余｜才》身ヲ投即刻下部共打寄引上処気絶無程息
吹返即日同人忰親族小呼寄御預ケニ成已来久右衛門父子共参
上之義被差止昼夜厳敷番被仰付了全ク乱心老耄之品為哉
未曾有之曲事也

現代語訳
中を回礼した。
二十七日庚午晴れ 未刻頃か、御家門の御庭の井戸へ岡崎村百姓年寄の久右衛門（六十余才）が身を投げた。即刻下部たちが駆け寄り引き上げたところ気絶していたが、程なく息を吹き返した。即日同人の息子や親族を小呼び寄せお預けとなり、以来久右衛門父子共に参上することを差し止められ、昼夜厳重な番を仰せ付けられた。全く乱心老耄の類であろうか、未曾有の曲事である。
八月大
朔日甲戌晴れ 御家門八朔の御祝儀を例年通り行い、御領村の百姓共が参上した。両役等の会合も例年通り行われ、御祝酒を下され、各々盃の往来があった。
二日乙亥早朝雨降り後晴れとなる 瀬尾次兵衛がこの頃忌明けにつき見舞いのため参上し、一献出して申刻頃帰宅した。
四日丁丑晴れ 家父が当番直参勤務、倍清が番入りである。宿の逞清へ頼んだ。
五日戊寅晴れ 昼飯後、評議所にて神楽講十会目の前銅があり、掛かりが参集した。その輩は胡保、弁顕、経千、弥七、嘉良等である。その外は不参と定められた。例年通り来る十三日である。
七日庚巳雨 社頭当番を逞清方へ代勤を相頼んだ。
十三日丙戌雨 神楽講十会目を三本拵の奥田屋で行い、巳刻比より罷り越した。諸事例年通りで夕刻相済んだ。但し大本籤一枚は経千が当たり、次は山口中務丞、中野蔵人の組合が当たった。

27th day, Kanoe-Uma, clear - Around the Hour of the Sheep, Kyūemon (over 60 years old), a village elder and farmer from Okazaki village, threw himself into the well in the garden of the shogun's residence. Immediately servants rushed over and pulled him up. He had fainted but soon regained consciousness. On the same day, his son and relatives were summoned and entrusted with his care. From then on, both Kyūemon and his son were prohibited from making official visits, and strict day-and-night surveillance was ordered. This was completely due to mental derangement and senility - an unprecedented incident.
8th month, large (30 days)
1st day, Kinoe-Inu, clear - Held the Hassaku celebration at the shogun's residence as usual, with farmers from the domain villages attending. The meeting of both officials was held as usual, celebratory sake was distributed, and cups were exchanged among everyone.
2nd day, Kinoto-I, rain in early morning then clear - Seo Jibei, whose mourning period recently ended, came to visit. We shared drinks and he returned home around the Hour of the Monkey.
4th day, Hinoto-Ushi, clear - My father performed direct attendance duty, with Baisei taking the watch shift. We requested Teisei at the lodging.
5th day, Tsuchinoe-Tora, clear - After lunch, there was preliminary discussion for the 10th Kagura lecture meeting at the council chamber, with the organizers gathering. The attendees were Kobo, Ben'aki, Tsunehitsu, Yahichi, Karyo, and others. The rest were determined to be absent. As usual, it will be held on the coming 13th.
7th day, Kanoe-Mi, rain - Requested Teisei to serve as substitute for the shrine duty.
13th day, Hinoe-Inu, rain - The 10th Kagura lecture meeting was held at Okudaya in Sanbon-goshirae. I went there from around the Hour of the Snake. Everything proceeded as usual and concluded in the evening. However, for the main lottery, one ticket went to Tsunehitsu, and next the combination of Yamaguchi Nakatsukasanojō and Nakano Kurōdo won.
18th day, Kanoto-U, clear - Invited by Horikawa Ōmi-no-kami for the Goryō-e festival, I went in the afternoon. Accompanied by Michie, we stayed overnight at his residence from around the Hour of the Snake. In the evening, both of us viewed the festival at Seo Jizō's place and returned home before the Hour of the Rat.
19th day, Mizunoe-Tatsu, clear - The adoptive mother of Lord Matsudaira Mutsu-no-kami (actually the daughter of the Kii lord, who became an adopted daughter of the Shogun's family and entered the household as a bride), Shinbetsu-in-dono
