日大津ゟ乗輿ニ而京都醫師典薬寮福井丹波守方へ被参経千 為付添参但大津ゟも醫師岡主膳与申者付添来也病名肉嬰 鬢疽之類云々次ニ同典薬寮之外科伊良子主税助方へ参叔父 翁令同道診察相頼事了而叔父翁ハ大津へ被帰経千ハ 御家門へ令出番尤右ニ付遅参願置于時午刻斗 十八日乙巳晴経同翁病気為見舞早刻ゟ大津参酉刻帰宅了 叔父翁病気容躰同断也○社中調達講如例於三本樹邊田也 有之家父令出席給也 十九日丙午晴夕刻小雨雷鳴石清水臨時祭御當日也 廿二日己卯時御家門大御所御誕生日御祝御花見等如例年終千 同誕日也○午刻後於講所惣老若三手打交参會有之旨 趣ハ備後守清祈二男従五位下定次郎大夫貴清堂上方ニ勤仕之処 不埒之筋有之ニ付於武邊御糺明之上洛中洛外御払ニ被仰付 依之返上位記之儀ニ被相願今日官家へ被願出之趣會所披露云々 ○伝奏衆御三方今日関東より御帰京云々 廿三日庚戌雨未刻属晴従父兄経威より今度甘露寺殿御供ニ而関 東ゟ帰京ニ付土産物到来也 廿四日辛亥晴中飯後惣老若三手打交参會有之経千五番衆 為氏清代参集趣意者清祈二男貴清義故障之筋有之ニ付返 上位記之義被相願之処願之通御聞済ニ付放社家列之旨披露也 評聞置也了而各退散○御家門貞巌院殿御附役物頭中村 惣吉今度関東へ引取ニ付御在世已来積年之挨拶旁為暇乞入来 令面會也但同物頭余田喜内同断國へ引取ニ付是又去ル廿一日留主 中途来云々

日に大津から駕籠に乗って京都の医師、典薬寮の福井丹波守の所へ参った。経千が付き添いで参ったが、大津からも医師の岡主膳という者が付き添って来た。病名は肉瘰、鬢疽の類であるという。次に同じ典薬寮の外科である伊良子主税助の所へ参り、叔父翁を同道させて診察を相談した。その後叔父翁は大津へ帰られ、経千は御家門へ出番した。もっとも右の件に付き遅参の願いを出しておいた。その時午の刻頃であった。 十八日乙巳、晴れ。経同翁の病気見舞いのため早朝から大津へ参り、酉の刻に帰宅した。叔父翁の病気の容体は同様である。○社中調達講が例の如く三本樹辺の田で行われ、家父が出席された。 十九日丙午、晴れ、夕刻に小雨、雷鳴。石清水臨時祭の御当日である。 二十二日己卯、時候。御家門の大御所御誕生日の御祝い、御花見等が例年の如く行われた。終千同誕日である。○午の刻後、講所において総老若三手が打ち交じって参会があった。その趣旨は、備後守清祈の二男従五位下定次郎、大夫貴清が堂上方に勤仕していたところ、不埒な筋があったため武辺において御糾明の上、洛中洛外御払いを仰せ付けられた。これにより位記返上の件を願い出て、今日官家へ願い出た趣旨を会所で披露したという。○伝奏衆御三方が今日関東より御帰京されたという。 二十三日庚戌、雨、未の刻に晴れる。従父兄経威より、今度甘露寺殿の御供で関東から帰京したため土産物が到来した。 二十四日辛亥、晴れ。昼飯後、総老若三手が打ち交じって参会があった。経千は五番衆として氏清の代わりに参集した。趣意は清祈の二男貴清の件で故障があったため位記返上を願い出たところ、願いの通り御聞き済みとなり、社家の列から放たれた旨を披露した。評議を聞き置いて各々退散した。○御家門の貞厳院殿御附役の物頭中村惣吉が今度関東へ引き取ることになったため、御在世以来積年の挨拶を兼ねて暇乞いに入来し、面会した。但し同物頭の余田喜内も同様に国へ引き取ることになったため、これまた去る二十一日に留守中に来たという。

On this day, [the uncle] traveled by palanquin from Ōtsu to Kyoto to see the physician Fukui Tamba-no-kami of the Imperial Medical Bureau. Keisen accompanied him, and a physician named Oka Shuzendayū from Ōtsu also came along. The illness was diagnosed as a type of scrofula or temporal region abscess. Next, they visited Irago Shuzeidayū, a surgeon of the same Imperial Medical Bureau, and had Uncle examine the patient and consulted about treatment. Afterward, Uncle returned to Ōtsu while Keisen reported to the household gate. He had submitted a request for late attendance due to this matter. This was around the noon hour. 18th day, otsu-mi, clear. Left early for Ōtsu to visit the ailing Keimei-ō, returning home at the hour of the cock. Uncle's condition remains the same. ○The shrine community procurement meeting was held as usual in the fields near Sanbongi, with the family head in attendance. 19th day, hei-go, clear, light rain in the evening with thunder. This was the day of the Iwashimizu Special Festival. 22nd day, tsuchi-no-to-u, seasonal weather. The Great Lord's birthday celebration and flower viewing at the household gate were conducted as in previous years. This is also Sensen's birthday. ○After the noon hour, there was a mixed assembly of senior and junior members in three groups at the meeting place. The purpose was regarding Bingo-no-kami Seiki's second son, Jōgoi-ge Sadajirō, Dayū Takakiyo, who while serving the court nobility had committed improper acts. Following investigation by the military authorities, he was ordered expelled from the capital and surrounding areas. Consequently, he petitioned to return his court rank certificate, and today this petition was submitted to the imperial court and announced at the meeting place. ○The three Imperial Messengers returned to Kyoto from the Kantō region today. 23rd day, kō-jutsu, rain, clearing at the hour of the sheep. From cousin Keii came gifts, as he had returned to Kyoto from the Kantō region accompanying Lord Kanroji. 24th day, kanotono-i, clear. After lunch, there was a mixed assembly of senior and junior members in three groups. Keisen attended as a member of the fifth group representing Ujikyō. The matter concerned Seiki's second son Takakiyo, who due to his misconduct had petitioned to return his court rank certificate. The petition was approved as requested, and it was announced that he was expelled from the shrine family ranks. After hearing the deliberation, everyone dispersed. ○Nakamura Sōkichi, a military officer attached to Lady Teigan-in of the household, came to take leave as he was transferring to the Kantō region, meeting to exchange greetings accumulated over many years since her lifetime. However, another officer, Yoda Kinai, was similarly transferring to his home province, and he had come on the 21st while [someone] was away.
