一公儀御法度之趣堅相守文武之心懸常々不可懈事
一武具馬具等分限に応し可相嗜其外物数寄
余情之道具を好私之奢心致すへからさる事
一諸番所猥に無之与定置所に随ひ厳重に可勤仕事
附当番之節定之刻限令忘却於不末々改易たるへき事
一万事依怙贔屓すへからす諸傍輩相互専令親は睦
忠勤を励へし支配有之者共幷諸役人之儀は別而
万端露蔵なく同役仲ケ間申合謹慎を以諸用可相弁事
一異様之風俗をなし不行儀之躰不仕刀脇差衣類已下
目立さる様に可相心得着服勿論結構之品停止之事
浅黄之下着給人已上は各別其已下は遠慮いたし
惣而軽き品を用ひ分限より劣る分は可為慎事
現代語訳
条々
一、公儀御法度の趣旨を堅く相守り、文武の心掛けを常々怠ってはならないこと
一、武具馬具等は分限に応じて相嗜むべし。その外、物数寄や余情の道具を好み、私の奢侈の心を致してはならないこと
一、諸番所において猥りがないよう、定め置かれた所に随い厳重に勤仕すべきこと
附 当番の節、定めの刻限を忘却し、不末々に於いては改易たるべきこと
一、万事依怙贔屓すべからず。諸傍輩相互に専ら親睦を図り、忠勤を励むべし。支配有之者共並びに諸役人の儀は別して、万端露蔵なく同役仲間申し合わせ謹慎を以て諸用を相弁ずべきこと
一、異様の風俗をなし不行儀の体をなさず、刀脇差衣類以下目立たざるよう相心得、着服は勿論、結構の品は停止のこと

1. One must strictly observe the intent of the shogunal prohibitions and never neglect the cultivation of literary and military arts.
1. Weapons and horse equipment should be maintained according to one's station. Beyond this, one must not indulge in collecting curiosities or luxurious items, nor harbor private extravagant desires.
1. At all guard posts, there shall be no negligence, and one must serve strictly according to the established positions.
Note: During guard duty, if one forgets the prescribed times and becomes negligent, dismissal shall follow.
1. In all matters, favoritism and partiality are forbidden. All colleagues should foster mutual friendship and encourage loyal service. Those in supervisory positions and all officials must especially coordinate with their peers without concealment, conducting all affairs with prudence.
1. One must not adopt strange customs or behave improperly. Swords, short swords, clothing and other items should not be conspicuous. Naturally, fine garments are prohibited.
Light blue undergarments are acceptable for stipend recipients (kyūnin) and above, but those below should exercise restraint, generally using simple items and being modest within one's means.
