一軍役人馬之儀は去享保年中定置通可相守事
一吉凶事振廻且他所之者出会之節は料理二汁五菜に
過へからす平日傍輩寄合之節は一汁三菜たるへし
酒乱酔に及へからさる事
附家作之儀華美を好分限不相応之作事仕間敷事
一跡目之儀及末期忘却之願ひ不可用之縦実子と
いふ共筋目違ひたる遺言は立へからさる事
一縁組養子取組に於ゐては家中他所共に先達而
願ひ可申立事
一家中に浪人不可抱置一類幷無拠筋にて差置は
先達而申立可受差図事
一喧嘩口論相慎へし万一不慮之儀有之共令荷担

1. Regarding military service personnel and horses, one must observe what was established during the Kyōhō era.
1. For ceremonial occasions both auspicious and inauspicious, and when meeting with outsiders, meals shall not exceed two soups and five dishes. For daily gatherings among colleagues, it shall be one soup and three dishes. One must not become drunk and disorderly.
Note: Regarding house construction, one must not favor magnificence or undertake building projects beyond one's means.
1. Regarding succession, deathbed requests born of confusion shall not be accepted. Even if from one's actual son, testaments that violate proper lineage shall not be established.
1. For marriage arrangements and adoptions, whether within the retainer group or with outsiders, one must submit a request in advance.
1. Masterless samurai (rōnin) shall not be harbored within the retainer group. If keeping relatives or those with unavoidable connections, one must report in advance and receive instructions.
1. Quarrels and disputes must be avoided. Even if unexpected incidents occur, those who take sides shall receive punishment more severe than the principal offenders.
